章 2: Chapter 2

Eva wanted to become a famous director this time in her life and enjoy her life to the fullest. She checked her mobile and the year she was in was 2008 that means she was back in the past. She tried checking her old self if she was in this world too but couldn't find herself in this world.

Eva thought it was be better if she was not in this world. She had to do the first step to become the director to register in the Dublin director's union and decided to go there during the morning.By becoming a union member you can get some small directing opportunities in MTV, commercial, some small tv and films too but that is rare. It would help too that they have a huge database of actors if you shoot movies.

Eva reached the Director's Union building and it was together with the Screen Actor's Guild. There she went to the Director's Union door and met the receptionist. The receptionist asked

"Hello, Welcome to the Director's Union may I help you with anything?"

Eva felt awkward there not many women were there and due to her beauty many must have felt she was at the wrong door. It is reasonable that many women desire to be an actress when they have beauty but here i am to be a director and even young at that. According to BBC news report once there were not many percent of female filmmakers in European industry.

Eva Replied to the receptionist

"Hello, I want to register for the Union."

The receptionist smiled and said

"Forgive me Ma'am but the screen actors guild is to the right side. This is the Director's Union"

Eva shook her head and said seriously

"No, I am here to register for the Director's Guild."

The receptionist looked astonishing for a moment she never met a beautiful girl who wanted to be director. but she quickly composed herself and then said

"That's great. I can help you with that so, to register you have to have a film product like MTV, Short movie, Commercial and 300 euros."

Eva frowned at that and said

"I don't have a film product"

Receptionist politely replied

"Sorry you need those bare minimums to register."

Eva felt disappointed that she wanted to direct anything but I guess you have to take your time in these things.

Eva smiled politely at the receptionist and said

"Thank you! I am sorry to trouble you."

During exit from the Director's Guild she saw a. poster about 4th Dublin Short Film Festival

Participant: Anyone

Requirement: Bring your own work and raise your fund yourself

Condition for participating:

Choose one of the six specific subjects and make 5 minutes to 30 minutes short movie

Reward: Chance to get some money and MTV, Tv Commercial or Tv Show contact.

After reading this Eva's eyes brighten she thought 'Is this her chance to shine?'

Eva went home to think of suitable script that can help her win competition and get her to show her real talent. Eva found a perfect way to show her talent by making a 5 minutes long shots this can help show people her talent as a director. The scrip for this she wants to show the something like opening scence of La La Land the dance and music that would be awesome way. She decided to make an introduction to Dublin. The main problem for this is to get the actors budget she has 100,000 euros saved for that but she can't use that much so she decided to hire Acting students who wanted to take part so that way she can save money and for choreography she decided to pursues Spring Awakening which is common dance many people know so that will help her.

After she went and made a notice at the nearby acting schools and scheduled an audition for them. She took auditions of people some she liked but some don't but she still couldn't find her female lead for the short movie she had finalised a male lead but his name was Jack she was acceptable to the standard. Then at the next audition came Arsha. She told her to dance at the theme the way she dance Arsha reminded Eva of Catherine Zeta Zones from Chicago movie.

Eva found Arsha to be quite good so she selected her as her final female lead with all this out of the way she can now start the shooting schedule and all that later.
