章 37: A Bigger Surprise

Chris and Suzy returned to the living room because there was still time for dinner. Gabriel apologized to Chris if he made him feel low. "I had no intention to hurt you," he admitted. 

"I told you not to talk to me. It annoys me," Chris asserted. 

"What happened to your hand?" Sean asked Chris. "Did you injure yourself?" he met Chris's gaze. 

"He happened to mistakenly cut his hand with the broken glass," Suzy replied. "Why don't we talk about something interesting?" she suggested to him. 

"I wonder what we should talk about. One isn't even ready to communicate with us," Morgan pronounced, glancing at Chris. "I suddenly remembered that Chris won a Mathematics Contest when he was in his middle school. He defeated the high schoolers in that contest, bringing a lot of attention toward him," he shared a memory with all of them. 

Suzy was surprised to learn that. She thought Chris did not use to study and all he did was having fun since a young age.
