"Well, I have," Carla answered for her. "Maybe that was the sign that I was looking for."

Her friend interrupted her musing, making her realize how silly it was to believe in such nonsense. What was she thinking, even considering it? 

She supposed she was not thinking straight. Maybe it was the stress of these last few days with the restaurant. Somewhat, it had affected her common sense. 

"Think about it... Maybe I finally found him, but I have to be sure. Now that I have seen Roger. I know I might have my answer." Carla continued with her monologue.

On her part, she felt relieved upon hearing that her friend was talking about herself. However, she could not help but feel she could relate to the feeling.

As much as she wanted to deny it, if she was being honest with herself, she knew it did somewhat make sense.
