Mira's frantic gaze darted in every direction. Her heart was pounding against her ribcage, as if it were a relentless drumbeat echoing in her chest. She had been caught, and her plan crumbled far too quickly. 

Lady Clarissa's stern warning echoed in her mind, serving as a harsh reminder: "If you are caught, you are on your own."

Mira had known the risks, but reality had just slapped her in the face.

As her body tensed, an icy chill seemed to snake down her spine, making her shiver from head to toe. The evidence against her was now firmly in their possession.

Instinct took over, and all Mira could think of was making a hasty escape, fleeing the scene as if her very life depended on it.

When the chefs closed in on her, Mira's desperation grew. She knew she had to get away, had to disappear while most of the knights were still dealing with the effects of the drug, which left them incapacitated.
