Yamamoto arrived on the deck of the ship and noticed that the ship's speed had slowed down a lot because they were closer to the Calm Belt.
He noticed Saul who was sitting there watching the ocean, "Do you regret your decision?" asked Yamamoto as he reached the giant's side.
Saul after contemplating the question for a few seconds replied, "No... their absolute justice is very radical, if they found out that Robin is Olvia's daughter they would most likely also consider her as a criminal even though she is only 8 years, so I don't regret my decision."
"The techniques the higher-ups use are often worse than those used by the pirates themselves, although not all marines are like that, most are" I add with some disappointment towards the navy where I spend several years of my life serving to protect the weak and innocent.
"How they are the most powerful, they decide what is right or wrong, and if you disobey them they consider you someone evil and everyone will see you as such" Yamamoto said while scratching his beard and looking at the ocean.
"That's why there are so many criminals and pirates who go out to sea in search of freedom, with time only the number will increase" Yamamoto added.
Since Gold D. Roger's words pirates and adventurers going out to sea increased exponentially, still, some people are not evil but will be considered criminals, like in the future Luffy and his crew.
"What do you mean there will be more and more criminals?" Saul asked scratching his head uncomprehendingly.
"Look at us, what crimes did we commit? All we did was research history and yet we were framed for wanting to obtain the ancestral weapons to destroy the world" Yamamoto replied.
"And not only that, even the people who had the slightest interaction with us will also be considered criminals and eliminated, like the Ohara villagers or Robin just for having Olvia's blood" Yamamoto added.
Saul pondered for a while and said, "It's true, if they continue like this they will only make the number of criminals grow."
"Not only that, they call themselves justice, but they defend the Heavenly Dragons, who have slaves and can murder you on a whim, and if you defy them a navy admiral will take your head off" Yamamoto said with slight anger as he remembered these people, who were among the most hated in the series.
Saul upon hearing the term Celestial Dragon frowned, as he had once observed the appearance of one and it was somewhat unpleasant to see how all the marines had to kneel and all the slaves that this supposed god had.
Although these were placed on such a pedestal by the World Government, the Marines obeyed their orders to the letter, often being called the dogs of the World Government.
"Can anything be done?" Saul whispered with a somewhat downcast tone because of the unfair world they lived in, although he was always cheerful, this conversation caused his mood to drop.
"Maybe..." Yamamoto said with a new idea forming in his mind.
"What do you mean?" asked Saul without understanding Yamamoto's answer.
Before Yamamoto could answer, a fierce and powerful roar was heard, both Yamamoto and Saul looked in the direction of the mighty roar and could observe how the water shook violently, as a giant beast emerged from the depths of the ocean.
The abrupt appearance of such a giant creature, generated many waves in the ocean that impacted Yamamoto's ship, causing it to shake violently, to his luck this ship was the best in the Marine, so it had no damage and stabilized quickly. The waves that hit the ship were not that big, as the monster was quite far away from the ship.
"That's a Sea King..." Yamamoto whispered with a little excitement in his eyes from seeing this creature for the first time, he wasn't too afraid of it because of the giant next to him, who could easily defeat it since he is a former vice admiral of the Marine who knows how to use haki.
He expected to cross paths with one of these beasts, as his destination was quite close to the Calm Belt, so he was not too surprised by their presence. Because of the commotion created by the Sea King, all the archaeologists and Robin who were in the kitchen rushed out onto the deck of the ship.
Noticing the giant beast their expressions turned ugly with some fear on their faces, "Don't be scared, it's no big deal" said Yamamoto calming down the wimpy archeologists. Hearing Yamamoto's words they all sighed reassuringly as he didn't seem too scared of the beast. Although he wasn't planning to fight it and would only send Saul to defeat it.
"Hey look, that monster is aiming for that little boat!" Olvia exclaimed as she noticed a small boat in the distance.
*Mm? That's right, I hadn't noticed... this old man's eyesight* Yamamoto thought cursing his age. He also noticed that the figure in the boat looked unconscious and was small so it was most likely a boy or a girl.
"Hey Saul, defeat that monster and save the person in the boat, it seems to be a child" Said Yamamoto with a calm tone.
"Yes!" Saul said nodding as he jumped in the direction of the Sea King, he was already planning to save the person because he would feel guilty if he does nothing and just stares, and more so if it is a child.
Using Geppo, he cut the distance between him and the monster quickly reaching his side, the Sea King noticed the imminent threat and stopped his attack on the small boat. Looking at the giant Saul his expression faltered, but this was short-lived and he growled fiercely as he opened his huge mouth and bit towards Saul's head.
Saul did not stand still and closing his huge fist, he launched a direct blow to the open jaw of the Sea King.
PUM!
Saul's fist broke all of the Sea King's teeth and smashed into his face shattering him with a single punch and ending his life, "That's the strength of a vice admiral* thought Yamamoto without surprise, as he expected such an outcome, after all, was one of the smaller Sea Kings.
The archaeologists and Robin were surprised by Saul's ease in defeating such a monster.
Quickly Saul looked towards the boat and when he saw the unconscious figure he was surprised, since it was a little girl, without thinking twice he grabbed the boat with one of his gigantic hands and went to the ship with the others.
Saul arrived at the ship and leaned the boat on the deck, everyone approached curious to see the figure in the boat, "A little girl? She's in very bad condition!" said Olvia as she hurried and took the little girl in her arms while inspecting if she was still alive, luckily she was still breathing.
The girl's body had some minor wounds and scratches, who knows why and it looked like she had been unconscious since before the Sea King appeared.
The girl looked Robin's age, her hair was blonde and tied with a blue-green ribbon. She was wearing a yellow tunic with embroidery at the end of it and in the neck area that goes down to her feet. She is wearing dark red shoes and in the boat is a beaked hat with the same embroidery, which she seems to have dropped.
"Quickly take her to the medical room" said Clover worried about the blonde girl. Quickly Olvia lifted the girl in her arms and headed for the medical room of the navy ship.
"Look at that bird, it seems to be injured too" Yamamoto said noticing that next to the girl there was a kind of sparrow quite bigger than a normal one, with a wound on its wing. This bird was also unconscious, and seemed more serious than the girl, as the wound on its wing was losing some blood.
This bird was of considerable size, measuring between about 70 and 90 cm, much larger than any ordinary bird he had seen in him past life.
At Yamamoto's comment, Hocha noticed the wounded bird, quickly grabbed it in her hands, and followed Olvia to heal it, as it seemed to be this girl's pet and would be sad if it died.
These days they were exploring the gigantic Marine ship and found that it has many rooms, one of them is a medical room. Once in this room, Olvia laid the girl on one of the beds and took out the first aid kit to bandage her wounds.
Skillfully bandaging the girl's wounds, *This woman has a lot of skills* thought Yamamoto again surprised by how multifaceted Olvia was.
"How is she?" asked Robin worriedly, looking at the blonde girl, "She'll be fine don't worry" replied Olvia while stroking Robin's head.
"She doesn't have any major injuries, she should wake up in no time" Clover said confidently.
"As for the bird I don't think it will be the same" Roche said with some pity towards the animal. Olvia hearing this, looked at the sizable bird and began to tend to it, as she stretched its wing she noticed several bullet wounds.
With incredible prowess she began to remove the bullets and bake the wounds, once she finished this, she bandaged the bird's wing so that it could not move it and could heal quietly, "You sure know how to do a lot of things" said Yamamoto surprised.
"Well during the two years I was traveling, we had some accidents that required someone to learn these things" said Olvia with a smile as she finished treating the bird and rested it on another bed.
"You're amazing mom!" said Robin with an admiring smile towards her mother, Olvia smiled and stroked her head warmly.
"I'll go prepare something to eat, for when the little girl wakes up" Hocha said to help with something, "I'll help you" Roche said feeling bad for not doing anything to help.
The others sat in the medical room waiting for the girl to open her eyes, after several minutes, finally, the girl opened her eyes slowly and with some difficulty.
Seeing a ceiling she had never seen before, she sat up exalted and noticing many people she didn't know, she said nervously, "Who are you? Where am I?
Olvia smiled warmly noticing she woke up and with a lot of energy, "Don't worry, we found you in a boat unconscious and with some wounds so we rescued and bandaged your wounds" Olvia replied with a kind voice.
"Huh? It's true..." Said the girl calmer by Olvia's smile and noticing her bandaged arms where before she had some wounds and scratches, "Wait where is Milo!?" she asked with a trembling voice about to cry.
"Milo? I guess you mean the bird that was next to you in the boat, look it's there" Olvia answered while pointing towards one of the beds where the bird with the bandaged wing was.
The girl, noticing him as a friend with a bandage, got up from the bed in a hurry and went to the bed where Milo was, "Hey, be careful, you just woke up!" said Olvia worried when she saw the girl getting up approximately.
"Milo... this happened to you because of me..." said the girl with tears in her eyes while touching Milo's injured wing.
Yamamoto watched this scene somewhat confused, *This girl rings a bell from somewhere... she must have been in the series, but I remember almost nothing about her* he thought as he tried to remember with all his might, but it was useless.
"Don't worry, her life is not in danger, it's just a matter of time before her wing heals and she can fly again" Olvia said as she approached the girl and tried to calm her down.
"Really?" asked the little girl with tears and some snot, as she raised her head and looked at Olvia.
"Yes don't worry, your friend will recover quickly" Olvia replied with a warm smile as she stroked the girl's head.
"Thank you... sniff... thank you..." said the girl as she started to cry and hugged Olvia's waist tightly she was surprised, but quickly hugged her back,
*Poor thing must have been through a lot" thought Olvia as she hugged the girl to calm her down.
Robin watched this with a frown, "Look Robin if you don't do something they will steal your mother" said Yamamoto noticing Robin's somewhat angry look, "Hmph I'm not a child" replied Robin as she angrily pulled away from Yamamoto, clearly jealous that a strange girl would hug her mother so much.
