Amelia stared at them and tried to find out who the girl was. Whether the girl was pretty enough to attract Ethan.
Amelia stood at the door, but she didn't came close. It was hard for her to hear their conversation. She only knew there were three people in the room. It wasn't a staff banquet at all.
Suddenly Amelia heard some laughter. The girl turned around.
Amelia widened her eyes, "It's her?"
Was she Rosetta, the girl who helped Amelia deal with the drunkard?
Did they know each other? But Ethan didn't mention it last time.
Amelia felt her mind was messed up. At that time, Mike was about to come out. Amelia hurried to go downstairs. Mike saw a figure around the corner, and he felt it was familiar. But he wasn't sure who the person was.
Amelia picked up her steps out of Chinchol Manor. She wasn't in a good mood, so she didn't care about the surrounding people and stuff.
Suddenly, she bumped into a person.
"It's you?"
"Yeah. I didn't expect I would meet you here."
Michael looked at Amelia. He thought Amelia had a better taste in her dressing. Her stunning face with fury made her more lovely.
"I don't want to talk to you. Get out of my way,"
Amelia glanced at this man and wanted to leave. She walked toward the gate.
Her boyfriend betrayed her and supported Bella.
Amelia had planned to tell Michael the good news of her getting half of the share at her birthday party.
She was innocent. She thought they were a couple, so they should share happiness and misfortunes.
But to her surprise, Michael chose to believe Bella and abandoned her.
Those things were enough for Amelia to see Michael's true color.
"Why are you in such a hurry? Can't we have a conversation? I think we have some misunderstanding."
Hearing what Michael said, Amelia stared at him and sneered,
"Misunderstanding? Hum. Get out of my way."
Amelia didn't want to listen to Michael's nonsense. Seeing was believing. What happened at her birthday party was clearly lingering in her mind, and she felt pain as soon as she recalled it.
Michael looked at Amelia with some guilty in his eyes. He also joined Bella to set Amelia up.
"Are you really so ruthless? Even if I stand with you, you cannot rival your father and Bella."
Amelia turned around and looked at Michael.
She had heard about this man was good at measuring loss and gain. He was so coward that he was easily swayed. Amelia thought Michael treated her well before, so she didn't care about the stuff. But now, she hated this man. Even her eyes looking at him were full of contempt.
"Move away."
"Don't be so cruel. It's all passed. I can still be your boyfriend."
Amelia glanced at Michael and sneered. Then she passed by him and left.
Michael stood there and was stunned. Now Amelia was no longer a member of the Harper family. She had no background at all. Even though she had any accidents, no one would trace it.
He had been her boyfriend for a year, but he never touched her. Michael was regret about that.
"Wait,"
seeing Amelia in a distance, Michael quickened his pace to catch up with her.
Amelia was frightened. She had no idea what Michael wanted to do. Without thinking, she ran fast.
She kept running, and didn't stop even when she passed by her car. She was afraid she would be caught by Michael.
"Jesus, where am I?"
It was so dark around. Amelia ran into an alley and Michael was at his heels.
Amelia took out her phone as she was running. The only person in her mind was Ethan.
She should yell out at Chinchol Manor. It might draw people's attention so that Ethan could have shown up.
But now, she had run in this place. Everything was just useless.
She had just dialed the number, Michael caught up with her and patted her phone to the ground.
"Ah... Get away. What are you doing?"
Michael stared at Amelia with strange eyesight. What was he doing?
Of course, he wanted to do something between a man and a woman.
Michael approached Amelia and knocked her out. He wore an evil smile on his face,
"You are my girlfriend. You should belong to me."
Michael picked Amelia up and went back to his car at Chinchol Manor.
It was weird. Why was the phone connected but no one answered?
Ethan hung up the phone and dialed again, still, no one answered the phone.
He had a bad feeling. How could that happen?
Seeing Ethan's face gloomy face, Mike became nervous.
"What's wrong, Mr. Frost?"
"Was Amelia at home when you sent food to her?"
Mike nodded. He froze for a moment as if he thought of something. He said, "I saw a figure passed by just now, which looked like Amelia."
"When did you see her?"
Seeing Ethan was anxious, Mike didn't dare to hide it. He stated the situation truthfully,
"It's been half an hour."
"What?"
Ethan's cold eyes made everything freeze. Rosetta had left, and he was about to go home. He didn't expect things would go on this way.
"Get all the surveillance videos of Chinchol Manor within half an hour to me,"
his firm voice made everyone shiver. Mike dared not to waste any second and went downstairs.
The video showed clearly that Michael entangled Amelia. Amelia left but Michael followed her away.
Ethan stood up and clenched his fists. His eyesight was extremely horrible.
...
Michael brought Amelia to a hotel nearby. He was cowardly that he didn't bring Amelia home, especially under such circumstances. He was afraid his brother would be mad at him.
He put Amelia down and was sneering beside her.
He had been waiting too long for the moment. Amelia used to be his girlfriend and the daughter of the Harper family, so he should care about her mood. But now...
"Amelia, wake up,"
Amelia finally woke up by Michael's call.
She opened her eyes and looked around. Was she at a hotel?
"What do you want to do?"
Amelia got up and looked at Michael. Her eyes were as terrified as a bird on a wire.
Michael had a seat on the sofa next to her,
"I ordered a bottle of wine. We can drink a little so that you won't be so nervous."
"No. I'm leaving,"
Amelia stood up and put on her shoes. But before she walked out of the room, she was pushed to the other side by Michael.
