The rebellion’s base was a familiar territory for Ashura so he knew where he was heading off to. The first place he decided to enter and check for Mahiru was the room she was assigned.
He quietly opened the door and looked around. Much to his relief, Mahiru was sleeping inside the room quietly.
“Mahiru, wake up. We need to get out of here.”
Ashura shook Mahiru’s body and for a second, he was terrified that Mahiru was dead. But then she opened her eyes and Ashura felt relief fill his body. His chest expanded and Ashura could properly breathe again.
He had no idea what he would have done if Mahiru had died and left him alone in this world.
‘Are you sure you are not in love with her?’
Kurina’s accusing voice filled Ashura’s head and he flinched. He looked at Mahiru as she rubbed her eyes. Her smallest gesture looked cute to Ashura and he felt his heart melt.
