章 17: End of Lauria
Kingdom of Lauria, royal capital Jin Hark,7PM April 8th 1639
As the Tigers looked at the city,Guderian looked tired,who can blame him,for 2 days he didn't sleep,just to see this city in all it's broken glory,as he drank his coffee,he smiled
''Ah Coffee,a man's true love when tired''he said''Driver,are we ready?''
''Yes Marshal!''said the driver
''Good,begin the attack,Operation Typhoon ends today''he said
as the orders were relayed,500 Tigers and 30 000 men began to push forward,at the same time 1000 75mm Light weight artillery fired at the walls,it was a strong attack,and within moments they saw the 7000 Calvary of Lauria charge at them.
Hans with the advance units took out his gun and began to fire with with platoon,after about 1000 were killed by the infantry,the Tigers fired their 88mm anti-everything guns right into their formation,killing all in it's path,save for one man that took shell after shell and still stood strong,but soon he was captured by the German Infantry.With only 33 000 men facing them,the Germans after the initial barrage and attack,the German began to enter the city
Laurian side,Castle
The last General,Rand was angry,the Germans using what he believed was Papaldian weapons attacked them and in just 10 minutes killed all their Calvary and 4000 of their best infantry,now the Germans were pushing into the city at a steady pace,expected to reach the Castle in about 1 hour.
''Damn these Germans! I'll make them Pay!''said Rand
he pointed to a messanger
''tell all men to keep attacking these Germans,and use civilians as shields if they must''said Rand
''Yes sir!''the man said as he left
Rand was a vile man,a man that fate will not let live.
Boom
the distant sounds of battle was heard,as they inched closer ad closer to the Castle,the Germans found more and more soldier either giving up or fighting to the last man.
German advance unit,8PM
Hans was inside a small building,he and his squad just took it over,it wasn't even 2 hours and most of the city save for the castle was under their rule,and the loses were low,about 31 500 of Laurians were either dead or POWs and little under 7000 Citizens were killed.
As Hans Took a small break from the push,he heard something,acting on his 5 years of Training he jumped behind a table and aimed his gun at the sound,But what he saw made his heart sank at what he saw
Kids,2 Boys no older than 8 looked at him with terror,as he saw them looked scared he put his gun down and sighed.
''Hey,hey It's ok i won't hurt you,I'm here to help''said Hans
the kids still looked scared,Hans crouched down to their eye level
''My name is Hans,I'm a German soldier,I won't bite''he said as he took off his helmet''What are your names?''
''I'm Clovis and that is my Brother Martin''Clovis said,as he finished his Stomach gurgled
''Hungry? Here i have just the thing for you''Hans said as he took out a big piece of Chocolate
''what is that?''Martin said in a curious tone
''This is Chocolate,My father makes them in his factory,Here you can have it''Hans said as he gave the 2 boys each a piece
As they ate it,their faces lit up with happiness,Hans laughed
''It is good?''he asked
''Mhm Yes!''the boys said
Hans smiled,it reminded him of his sons back at home as well,younger than these 2 but still made him miss them dearly.As he looked at the moons,his Platoon came in and saluted
''Sir! Order are for us to take the castle,You are to take the King down''said his Private also called Hans
He looked at the 2 kids and then back to his men.
''Clovis,martin i must go,you stay safe,it's very dangerous right now''said Hans
''yes Mister!''they said as they tried to salute as well
Hans smiled as he left,but the second he left the House he went into a sadistic vibe,He turned to his men.
''Since everyone inside the Castle is Pro-King shoot all on sight,no prisoners,understood?''he said to Hans 2
''yes sir!''he said
''Good let us begin''said Hans as they got on a Tiger
King's Castle
As Hans and his other 20 Soldiers went inside the Castle,they began to fire at all the guards they could find,clearing floor by floor,they killed all they could find,it was a bloodbath.After clearing the bottom 3 floors,and some 1300 Men,they went to the last floor,But they only had together some 250 rounds left, where by Intel giving by a maid before they killed her,it was where the King was.
As they went up the stairs,a lone man was standing in the chamber,Commander Rand,Hiding in the dark corners were the rest of the Guards.Seeing the Germans he spoke
''well well well,The Germans,i'm surprised you managed to find us,tell me how does it feel to finally meet Moi?''Rand said
Hans looked at him with hate,He was planning something
''Get on the Ground! and tell us where the King is!''he shouted
''A demand? Why would i ever tell you where our King is?''said Rand in a Arrogant tone

Hans fired a bullet at one of the men behind the pillars,he almost didn't see him,but when he saw the glint he fired,the bullet hit his lung and he bleed out quickly,Rand smirked
''Attack!'' he yelled
at this the 198 other knights rushed the Germans,and the Germans in turn began to fire everything they had at the Laurian attack,they had the weapons but not the number,as they fight went on they killed all but 10 of them including Rand,Rand took a moment to breath
''You surprised me with those fancy weapons,but how much more ammunition do you have left? surly you can-''rand was cut off

Hans took out his Pistol,a 9mm Model 1911 imported from the old USA,a gift from his father in 1940.H shot Rand dead with a single round to his head,the other 9 ran at him alone but they were all shot dead before they reached him.

As he put his gun away,he turned to his men,they have suffered no deaths but had many injured,of the 21 men with him,10 have a few cuts and minor wounds,they could still fight at around 80%,the rest had big cuts,but no death injuries,the worse being Gunther having a entire Sword in his Appendix,other than that he was still alive,in all he had 9 men to arrest the King,and with no Ammo left he could die if more arrived.
''Gunther,you still with us Buddy?''asked Hans 2
''Yeah,Other than a fucking sword in me,I'm good...Fuck get me some morphine would you?'' said Gunther

As Hans 2 went to the medic(who has a cut along his back but still at about 66% there) Hans 1 went to Gunther
''Hey,tell HQ what is happening and tell i need 30 more in case and that i am taking the King now''Hans said''All men still without any Major Wounds,let's go''
Hans and the other 9 men went to Arrest the King
King's chamber,8:28PM
He had spent over 6 years building up support and accepting humiliating demands in order to feign obedience, but he was finally able to assemble and train a polished, unyielding army capable of uniting the entire continent of Rodenius. He invested nearly all of Lauria's possessions and national power, putting his country in debt for decades, to create this legion. To deal with any possible outliers, he raised the power of his military to unthinkable heights; it was like crossing a stone bridge then destroying it, the level of their military strength was supposed to be insurmountable. They should have trampled over everything.
But then, this German Empire with its nonsensical combat power joined the war and came out nearly untouched,in only 3 days they conquer his entire Nation and he could not even tell someone died. At first, they had sent messengers, offering to make diplomatic ties. He should have treated them more politely and researched their country more. "They were some barbarian country because they didn't have wyverns"? Rubbish. They were a country that didn't need wyverns because they were so advanced.
He had lost most of his army. His naval fleet too and most of his nation was now at their mercy. His country suffered catastrophic losses never before seen,but he couldn't even confirm a single death on the German side. What a staggering kill/death ratio; if he had fought with one of the major civilizations' superpowers, it wouldn't have turned out this lopsided.
He should have been more careful from the start. But, regardless of how devastated he felt, he had no time for regrets. The enemy had already come here. They were in the skies of the capital, their devices buzzing around like gnats in his face,they bombed his people and humiliated him beyond anything he ever felt. His wyverns were already all dead. There was nothing else he could do...
Bang,bang Pang!
That loud noise was constantly going off inside the castle.He heard screams from the royal guards.After a while the quiet led to his heart going to new heights.
WHAM!
A strange squad of men wearing grey clothing with all of them looking bloodied and tired poured into the royal audience chamber. Among them, there was 1 man that walked with the aura of Leadership.They had what looked like magic staves in their hands. No one was armed with swords, so they must all be mages. The king all of a sudden thought of the story of the ancient sorcerous empire.
"It-it's not possible... are you the army of the sorcerous empire?!" asked Hark, shaking in terror.
The man that looked like their commander stepped forward
"I'm not sure what this... 'sorcerous empire'... is, but my name is Captain Hans, from the Imperial German Empire army. You are deposed for ordering the massacre of Gim in the Principality of Kua Toine.You are hereby sentenced to 25 years in prison.Your nation shall now be under our rule"
Hark Lauria was led away in handcuffs.on this day Lauria was annexed by Germany and renamed to German West Rodenuis(Deutsch West Rodenuis) and the Germans would Impose a military council for now.
Meanwhile in Berlin
The Kaiser and his Heir was with his minister in a Council on new Military technology,these new weapons to be made were:
-A New rifle called the STG-42(Ak-47) finished Prototype phrase,full scale production to begin in 1943
-2 New tanks Model,to make simple production,a ''main Battle tank'' and a ''heavy Main Battle Tank''
-A New plane using the recently made Jet engines to be completed by 1943,will be both a fighter and bomber at the same time
-New Ships for the Navy to be made by 1944
-Finish the Nuke project by 1945
A man then put a projector on.
''My Kaiser,these new weapons were already in planning phrase but now we can produce them a long last,the STG-44 will allow our Infantry to have edge over all our enemies,to fire 40 rounds in one chamber and fire at over 500 meters is quite the card to have,we plan to arm every soldier with them once we fix the minor issues like Quality and production,we have time on our side for now,so slow and steady wins the Race''he said
moving on,another man stood up
''I am with the Tanks project,for the MBT as we call and HMBT we have names for them,the first we call the King Tiger,it weights 57.5 tons,with the same armor of the panther from the front and the Tiger for the sides,it would be only be 60 tons,but we put a 10.5cm cannon instead of the 88mm you wanted,we offer our Apology''he said

''Yes! it can hit speeds of 58KM/H and the max range we give by trial runs is 300KM,about the same as the Panther,but because of the weight and gun,it will break down every 600Km so we must be wary of that.''he paused before he went on''the HMBT we call it the Maus,we took the King tiger,added more armor,It has a 12.8cm gun and Way bigger,it's 2 times bigger than the Tiger,while our 'MBT' is less than 25% bigger,in total this new HMBT is 92.5 tons,it is slow at 38KM/H and the max range we give by trial runs is 175KM,but because of the weight and gun and the massive size,it will break down every 350Km so we must be wary of that as well''
''Jesus,why did we make so heavy again?''asked the Kaiser
''it is because we want them to be multi purpose and to have a straight line of production,with these we can have 1000 made in 2 months and have the entire army have 2 tanks and not 3 or 4 or even 5 tanks like we did in 1939''he said
''that's true,continue''the Kaiser said
the Tank man sat down and the Air man got up.
''Well the Good news is the ME-262-A was a success,the 1000 units can be made by 1944,It is the Fastest Plane yet,at 1018KM/H but only for 1 hour,it also has 4 30mm Cannons mounted in the Nose,the new Jet engines are in the wings,The ME-262-B can begin production in 1946 at the least,it will reach 1242KM/H and has the same armaments as the ME-262-A but this will more bombs,In Addition the Rocket program is completed and V-2 rockets will begin production''the man said
As the information flowed in he went on
''But the problem is that the cost is high,it will be 6 to 7 years before our entire Air force are Jets and on top of the V-2 only being at the best 100 per month for the first 3 years,it will take time before we are fully into the thick of the future''The man sat down
''alright who is next?''asked the Kaiser
The Naval Officer got up
''I guess I'm next,the New Naval class are pretty simple,the Bismarck will receive 40.6cm main rather than 38.1cm,and more AAA making it around 57 500 Tons,the Carriers will be made longer at 300 Meters and making it 5000 tons heavier that is all for them,Cruisers or the Z-Class will be the Bismarck with Cruiser armor like the P-class making it 32 000 Tons,destroyers will be called the Z51 class will be a 5000 Ton destroyer with a top speed of 37 knots,it will have 4 twin 15cm guns with 8 twin 20mm AAA,And finally our Subs is the Type XXX a 3000 Tons Submarine able to hit 20 knots and carry 24 torpedoes,our plan is to built a entire new navy with this in complete secret,we want 10 Battleships,20 Carriers,60 Cruisers,500 Destroyers and 800 Submarines in 5 years''he said
The economic Minister aide,Albert Speer raised his hand
''How are we to get the raw material in such short time? We can do it,but we need so much materials''Speer said
The Navy Officer paused and looked at Speer
''I was getting to that,to have the materials,we found that Rodenuis has everything we need and then some for this project,So much in fact that we could triple this number and only then reach a small problem in the materials needed,But i digress,to the manpower problem we will use the Locals of Rodenuis for this,the Destroyers,Submarines and Cruisers will be built here at home due to their smaller sizes and the rest in Rodenuis to help get the economy in check and promote friendship with the now 10 of us.''

Finally a Scientist got up,It was Albert Einstein,head of the 'Bomb' Project.
''I am please to say we can have it done in 3 years time,2 if we get more funding,I ask not do as it's better to save the Economy than the 'Bomb',that is all''he said as he sat down
The Kaiser then stood up,he looked at everyone before he spoke.
''I am please by our rational thinking to these projects,I wish to finish these in a timely manner,Please don't cut corners,take your time,we are at peace,hence we have no need for these advance weapons in haste,In due time we shall have these,Thank you for informing me of the current affairs of the Projects we had before we arrived,Until next time'' he said as he left
The German Empire was making headway to create what they called a ''Main Battle Ready Military'' that would later by historians in Germany be called the Modern Military that would crush the Ancient Sorcerous Empire.

A few weeks ago the German found out that Morse code was being emitted in the Medieval city, so 10 German were sent to find the source to see what happen,Leading them was Otto. As they came to the building he saw a man that looked like A Japanese officer walk out,he motion to his men.
''Seems we aren't the only modern nation in this world,Shoot him in the leg,Hans and peter will capture him,Me and Henry will take the Codes and see what is inside the House''Otto said

The pistol shot the Spy in his leg,as he fell Peter and Hans ran over to arrest him,Otto then saw another man com out.before he could shoot at his men,Otto shot the man dead.
As they went inside they saw a Morse code machine,pathetic compare to the enigma IV machine they had,As Otto looked around,he saw the book of codes and a flag that didn't look Japanese. After looking that he had sent a message to the Boss they had about Germany but it looked like it made Germany weaker he did nothing about it,As he looked he found a name for these men
''Gra Valkas huh? Hope you don't do something stupid in the future'' Otto said''guys we got what we need,Let's leave''
