章 5: Magical Space

As soon as Lu Jueyu made a decision, Mother Lu walked into her room with a bowl in her hand. Mother Lu put the bowl on the bedside table and helped her sit down. She leaned against the wall and looked at the bowl. The bowl contained coarse-grain porridge mixed with sweet potatoes. As for the children, they would follow her to collect pigweed in exchange for points. They can only earn a maximum of five points per day.

Although she never set foot in the fields, she was tasked with doing housework and caring for the children while her family worked in the fields. At this moment, they have finished planting the winter wheat, and there is not much work in the field. What's more, it's almost Chinese New Year, they just need to wait for the meat distribution day, and they can finally eat meat.

After covering her with an old quilt, Mother Lu took the bowl and said, "Here, eat first, then take medicine."

Lu Jueyu took the bowl and said with a smile, "Thank you, Mother."

Mother Lu was stunned by her polite tone but said nothing. Although Mother Lu felt sad when her daughter was alienated from her, it was better than when her daughter was depressed and didn't say a word all day. At least, she's willing to talk now and even smile.

After Lu Jueyu finished a bowl of porridge, Mother Lu fed her medicine and asked her to rest before leaving the room. Lying on the kang bed, she raised her hand to look at the birthmark. She pushed herself up and looked at her dark, old-fashioned clothes. She touched her hair and found two braids. It seems that she has not returned to the original world. But, why is this place so similar to her own room?

Lu Jueyu looked at the room, feeling very puzzled. The room looked identical to her bedroom, but the furniture was new. This is clearly not her room.

Although she was puzzled, Lu Jueyu looked around the house. When she turned on the kitchen tap, there was water. She even turned on the light and there was electricity. After inspecting the house, she headed for the door.

With such a mentality, she walked to the river and touched the water. The water felt cold on her skin. Looking at the clear water, she took a handful and took a sip. The water was very refreshing, with a touch of sweetness, unlike the water she drank after taking medicine. The water tastes slightly salty with a faint mossy smell. When she drank it, she almost threw up. So, now that she tasted this water, she couldn't help but drink more.

After she drank the water, she went to see the farmland. She thought the field was empty, but when she took a closer look, she found that the field was full of various crops. Her major in university is culinary art, so she has a certain understanding of crops.
