The following day, Su Jing woke up early, intending to prepare a hearty breakfast for her family.

Su Shen had not returned home the previous night, and when he did arrive in the morning, he found Su Jing busily working in the kitchen. He had no intention of disturbing her, instead planning to go upstairs to check on Gu Zi.
