"It's me. Now get to the point," Evangeline said without wasting any time since she was afraid any of her friends might interrupt their talk in the name of wanting to check on her now that she was injured.

"I need some money," Jordan said.

Evangeline paused for a second. And that pause was enough for Jordan to understand what she must be thinking. He sighed. After hearing about her from James and working with her a couple of times, he was kind of used to her attitude now.

"I will pay you back with my service," Jordan added and Evangeline nodded in appreciation.

"How much exactly?" Evangeline immediately said and Jordan rolled his eyes at her.

Truly a cunning businesswoman she was.

"One million," Jordan said.

Evangeline, who was just playing with her nails, raised her brows at the number and looked back at the number if she was talking to the right person.

"Do you even know what you are talking about?" Evangeline asked.
