章 47: Chapter 47

Alex began moving alone after he threw his friend into the sphere to train for the next two weeks. Collecting unicorn bodies without killing them was a huge gain for him.

He wanted the bones and other parts for experimentations in the future and since he didn't know what would happen if he simply killed a unicorn and didn't drink its blood, he didn't want to take the risk.

Quirrel had taken the lives of many unicorns while Alex had taken a break from searching the forbidden forest. While it looked like the unicorns were killed in the most efficient manner to not waste blood or at least it looked like Quirrel tried before the Christmas break, now it was more of a strategic hunt that involved using less effort.

One spell to harm the unicorn and it would run until it fell down due to the loss of blood and died. While a lot of blood was wasted in this process, Voldemort and Quirrel would be able to hunt more efficiently and in turn, be able to drink more blood for lesser effort.

Due to the new hunting methods, Alex had to scour the whole of forbidden forest to find the dead unicorns. He of course, did it as he wanted to collect as many bodies as he could.

He jumped across the branches easily due to the support of the weightlessness spell and the other auxiliary spells that he casted every time he began a search. Alex found about four to ten unicorns every single day due to the immortality pursuing snake, although at the expense of safety.

The only reason Alex happily roamed the forbidden forest was because, even if he faced the worst being in the forest, A.K.A Aragog, he had the ability to flee or even destroy the whole pack using high level flame magic.

Days slowly passed by and Alex began to move out to the forbidden forest on an alternate night basis as he had started a new project, a project that would give him a lot of benefits by the time he went back home.

Every single student at Hogwarts had begun to prepare for the end of the year examination and Aman was one of them. Ravenclaws had started to sabotage their peers from other houses and also the ones from their own house just to get ahead of others, even if it was just a little.

For a whole month, Alex was free to do what he wanted as he didn't have to baby sit Aman. By the end of May, he was prepared and once the plan was set in motion, he knew that he couldn't stop.

He sat on a Sofa as he read through the pages of the book called, "Elemental Magic: Version Wind."

Exactly when the clock struck twelve, there was a loud pop nearby.

Alex didn't look and simply said, "Place the letter behind the mirror of Erised and… give me the vial before you go."

Toffy did as he was told to and placed the vial in Alex's palm before he was stopped from apparating.

"That was close…. Let me cast the spells first."

An hour later, Toffy apparated and Alex took out a wooden box that looked like a rectangular container that had a special compartment on one of the sides.

He put the vial inside and began the final step of the manufacturing process. It took him almost three whole hours to complete it while Toffy watched from the side.

"Finally…. Toffy, I've written all the instructions in this parchment. Follow them until the end and go back home. The next time you see me will be when I get back home after school."

"Toffy understands. Rest assured master, I will make sure that everything is done perfectly."

"I trust you with my life, Toffy. Now, go. I don't want you weeping right now. After all, this job is very important."

Toffy nodded as he wiped the tears in his eyes before he poofed.

"Voldy… and Dumbles… I hope you both give me some goooood harvest."

*****

The first week of June was filled with examinations which Alex didn't take too seriously as getting great marks was not his main goal. He wrote enough to get either an exceeds expectations or an acceptable in the theory exams.

Although he was lazy and unbothered while taking the written exams, underperforming in the practical examinations was something he felt too prideful to do.

In the charms exam, where everyone was given a task to make a pineapple dance, Alex gave it limbs before he got it to do some of the most bizarre dance moves that came to his mind.

For transfiguration, they had to turn a mouse into a snuff box and extra points were given for how pretty the snuffbox was. Alex clearly knew that he had overperformed when he saw McGonagall's facial expression.

The box had an antique look with grooves and patterns on the sides and what set it apart from the others was that the top of the box had a metallic bulge that looked very similar to the transfiguration professor sitting in front of him.

Potions was pretty easy for Alex as all he had to do was make a forgetfulness potion from memory.

He had undoubtedly gotten full, if not almost full marks on that one as Snape didn't say a thing when he examined it. Whereas for the others, the amount of snarky comments that were spat at them was probably more than a hundred.

History examination also felt easy as he had to talk about the invention of self-stirring cauldrons by Gaspard Shingleton.

Alex knew about the kind of things he would be asked as he already knew the events of the future and due to this, he had noticed that the history textbooks didn't actually cover the topic.

In the end, he had to ask for Hermione's notes as he had not written down the notes in any of the classes. He also didn't want to ask a fellow Ravenclaw as it was common to receive fake notes in the exam season.
