It evaded my bullets as if there were nothing to it, but due to that, I knew that my bullets were seen as a threat to it.
The horned rabbit swiftly moved around the place, jumping on trees, so that it looked more like a panther in my eyes than a huge rabbit.
But blood kept pouring out from its wounds as I saw its white, fluffy fur turn redder with each passing second.
Just then, as it was about to rush towards me, I crouched and performed prone while continuously firing at it. It somehow rushed forward like a bull, ignoring all the bullets that came straight at its body.
The fact that it pushed on without hesitation made me realize that I was screwed.
*Wham!*
Another collusion occurred as it bumped straight at me, sending me flying away to crash on a tree while the horned rabbit stood silently, observing me from afar.
I stood up, but my body instantly hurt, as if all the pain that had been caused earlier had started taking effect.
My knees trembled, and I could feel every bone in my body crackle as if I were being electrocuted by pain.
Was three hits the maximum of my Pain nullification passive skill?" I wondered, unable to think properly as I held my breath and endured the immense pain that prevented me from moving.
But in spite of my careless situation, the horned rabbit did not move. My vision became blurry after the pain started erupting in my body, causing me to cough blood more than three times and forcing me to fall on my knees.
[Report: The horned rabbit has been eliminated.]

[Your level has risen.]
[Your level has risen.]
[Your level has risen.]
[Your level has risen.]
[Your level has risen.]
...
It kept on going continuously as it covered my vision with its holographic report that my level had risen rapidly.
Just as it continued, popping out of nowhere and informing me nonstop that my level had risen, I fainted at the exact spot where I fell on my knees.
And before I realized it, it was already nighttime.
I woke up, surveying the surroundings around me with my guard on, thinking that some monster might show up again.
Amidst the observations I made, I held my gun tightly, ready to aim and fire at any monsters that might show up at any moment. And I saw the horned rabbit's body; it was covered in blood, while its blood somehow turned into a puddle beneath it.
"Wow, it's truly big."
I then remembered that I had leveled up and immediately opened my status.
"Status."

"Woah, my level jumped over 234 in an instant." Realizing that killing high-level monsters was somewhat beneficial. But in spite of its huge benefits, the danger is also the same.
"And my mana also increased. Wait, what's the use of mana energy anyways? I'm sure that my skills don't consume mana at all. Since I've been using it for quite a lot of time now, I noticed that even a single digit wasn't consumed on my mana energy."
Well, pondering about it won't help me anyway; I should ask Greyskim. But where can I find him?" I pondered while looking above me as millions of stars brightened the sky while the moon shone brightly as the sky's center pillar.
"Woah, I really am in another world. It's truly amazing that the moon feels so close and yet so far."
Gazing at the night sky somehow became my hobby.
And so, three days have passed...

[Race: Human - Male]
[Usable Skills: Summon Gun, Motionless Reload, Inventory, Analysis]

I somehow earned a title after killing a lot of monsters that came my way.
[Heavenly Monster Hunter: A title that is given to those who have killed more than a hundred heavenly monsters]
[Bonus trait: +10% Magic and Physical Damage to Heavenly Monster Type]
[Only by equipping the "Heavenly Monster Hunter" title will the Bonus trait take effect.]
[Removing the title will dismiss all the bonus trait of the title.]
Heavenly monsters are what reside on these floating islands. It was a bit of a shock to me after knowing that they were heavenly creatures.
But it's totally impressive; just by looking at its bonus, 10% damage is a huge help to me. Especially when I'm just using a gun. And the title can also be removed and changed, I guess? Since it was mentioned like that, I really feel like I'm in a game now.
This system somehow feels nostalgic to me; did I play a game similar to this system before? I can't remember.
Well, enough about it; I'm currently heading up right now. After all the traveling I did, crossing the chained rocks like my life depended on it just to get near the blue barrier that halted my progress on going beyond it, After I touched it, which was placed just beneath the lower cliff of the last island below the place I killed the horned rabbit, The system reacted to it and notified me that I needed a Dragon's blood to pass through the barrier.
But Greyskim told me that I needed a large mana capacity; that's why I went below and attempted to determine what the required mana capacity was to pass through. But now the system told me that I needed the Dragon's blood in my veins in order to cross the border barrier.
"Fuck this! It's going to take a lot of months just to return to the peak of the floating islands."
"After I witnessed how many Islands we passed, I think I might take a year before reaching the top island."
And so, that's how the entire situation escalated, pushing me to return to the highest island, and now I'm currently at the third island, from which I killed the horned rabbit.
It took me three days just to climb here, and the monsters were not to be underestimated. I've encountered different types of heavenly monsters; to begin with, the horned rabbit was the strongest amongst them.
I've killed dozens of Wolf Glades. Wolves that had silver fur and floating halos on their heads with two sharp fangs that came out of their mouths.
While I also killed several Rain deer, They were somewhat different; their level was nowhere near that of the horned rabbit, but they could use water magic.
It was a sight to behold when one of the rain deer used water magic that somehow looked like a hydro pump. Turning it into a fully-forced gushing stream of water that could even destroy trees.
It was totally shocking, but I managed to survive. After my level had risen, I somehow felt my body changing. The strength and speed I had before were nowhere near what they are now. But despite the changes and the fact that this place is filled with unknown monsters, I still need to be careful. In order not to die easily, and after experimenting with my pain nullification passive skill, I somehow learned that it has five attempts before it gets destroyed and a cooldown that lasts for 24 hours.
Taking high damage more than five times will disable the pain nullification passive skill to the extent that it will electrocute my entire body within and prevent me from moving my body for half an hour. After my level rose, I did not faint anymore after experimenting with my pain nullification passive skill. It only forced me to become incapacitated, unable to move.
Well, that's it, and the fear within me started disappearing as time passed by. Encountering a lot of monsters became normal to me within the span of three days. I wouldn't say that I'm a genius; well, I guess it's due to my personality before I ended up here.
Since I was a soldier to begin with, life-and-death situations did not scare me; the only thing that made me tremble in fear was the black-scaled dragon's roar.
That was a first, but now that I've raised my level, I think it won't work on me anymore.
Or so I thought.
My body trembled as I faced the black-scaled dragon that stood proudly in front of me. Its gaze was too piercing, as it exuded an ominous aura. Dignified and fierce, a true entity that had power over authority was standing in front of me. Above it were more than a thousand smaller dragons flying over the sky, which I remembered Greyskim saying, they were Wyverns.
How did it end up like this?" I wondered, gazing at the black-scaled dragon's silhouette as it covered me from the sunlight.
Chapter End.
