The car traveled along the small road between the city and the countryside. Although the road from the town to the County Town was flat, there were still some minor bumps.

Lucy Sullivan was prone to motion sickness and had to wake up early that day. Therefore, she leaned on her shoulder and fell asleep as soon as the car started.

The bright sunshine shone through the car window onto her face, causing her to frown.

Samuel Smithson, who had been constantly paying attention to Lucy, noticed this and raised his hand to shield her eyes. The annoying sunlight was blocked by his big palm, and Lucy's frown gradually eased.

About an hour later, the bus slowly pulled into the County Town bus station, and people on the bus began to disembark one after another.

Samuel carefully shook Lucy, softly calling her, "Lucy, Lucy, we've arrived. Time to wake up."
