William and Scarlett had chosen seats at the left back corner of the auction room. This was a strategic spot that allowed them an unobstructed view of the bustling activity and the array of attendees. From their position, they could observe each item being presented, as well as the reactions of the potential buyers scattered throughout the room.

Scarlett, feeling curious and a little impatient, leaned towards William and whispered. "When are we going to act?" She punctuated her question with a casual sip of her wine.

"Very soon.....!!!" William replied.

William's attention was not on the conversation but rather scanning the crowd. His gaze darted from face to face as if searching for someone or something specific. In front of him, untouched, sat his own glass of wine.
