"Yes, I've heard about the festival from the neighbors." Isabella nodded her agreement.

"Well, how about we make plans to attend it together? A friend of mine actually invited us to join a local dance group that's scheduled to perform at the festival. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? Would you be interested in joining the dance?" William proposed, his eyes glinting with excitement.

However, Isabella's reaction was far from what he had anticipated. She raised her eyebrows in surprise, her gaze scanning his face as if she was trying to read his mind. "You made friends, really?" she questioned, a hint of incredulity creeping into her voice.

Taken aback, William could feel his left eye twitching uncontrollably. His heart sank a little as he processed her words. Was she implying that he wasn't capable of making friends? "Of course, I have friends," he defended himself, slightly stung by her remarks.
