The scream brought Jaden out of that dream with his eyes as wide as saucers. He looked around as if trying to ascertain where he was or who was in the room with him. His eyes were glazed over s if he was still dreaming and had not come into reality yet. Jaden's heart rammed in his chest and his chest rose rhythmically to the pounding of his heart. There was a physical ache there as well, upon hearing his mother's scream and to make matters worse, this wasn't the first or second time the prince was having this particular dream or seeing his mother being killed before his very eyes.

He drew in a long and deep breath.

Zuri slowly entered the room. She was of the opinion that the prince was still sleeping and decided to wait for him seated in a corner of his chambers until he woke up. But she met him staring at the door that was being slowly opened as she walked in.
