章 39: Vigilante/ Spawn's war (1)
As soon as the two of them entered the dead zone they were met with the darkness lingering inside it.
"He's getting stronger by the minute. We can't dawdle any longer." said Spawn.
"Okay. Let's go." replied Vigilante as they made way to the source which is the small gateway.
As soon as the darkness was gone they reached a place where there is red and white light flickering and the two of them saw the danger within it.
Barbatos stood in the center of the area with his large body and surrounding him were many angels and demons which have bat faces and wings.
"Jeez. As if one bat isn't enough for Gotham, this guy wants to flood Gotham with corrupted bat shit." said Vigilante with sarcasm.
"You seem to hate Batman so much. Is there any reason?" asked Spawn.
"It's simple thing. Having a code of no killing rule doesn't mean you cannot acerbate the problems by insane rogues in Gotham or force the code onto others who have completely different views on Justice." said Vigilante.
"I did hear about his stubbornness to uphold the code no matter what but I can say with certainty that a city like Gotham requires lethal force rather than non lethal one to set things right." said Spawn.
"Haha. Very few people understand it and you're one of those guys." replied Vishal.
"But when I see Gotham nowadays, it is completely different from the time I came to stop a demonic infestation." said Spawn.
"This is all thanks to Amarnath group." replied Vigilante.
"The father and son are talk all over the country. Didn't expect them to turn the hellish Gotham to a more livable one." replied Spawn.
Vigilante just nodded.
"Now how are we supposed to deal with two of these armies?" asked Vigilante.
"I can sense you have angelic and demonic energies from your body. What are you?" asked Spawn.
"A Nephalem. One who has angelic and demonic genes." replied Vigilante.
"You should know that I fight against both, right?" asked Spawn.
"Well just like you I am not a fan of either because they lie in the extreme ends of the spectrum." replied Vigilante.
"I see. No wonder you hate the league's way of doing things." said Spawn.
"Being realistic in such situations is always better than holding onto an idealistic view which can break you and turn you into a monsters called villains or make you a tyrant." replied Vigilante as angelic wings and demonic horns appear.
"I'll take on them all one by one---" as he was about to say when the two of them were hit by a giant sword and they fell in between the hoards.
Vigilante and Spawn stood up and saw a big demon with red skin holding a gigantic sword appear.
"Abominations are to be eliminated." shouted the demon.
"Asmodeus." said Spawn.
"No wonder Lucifer was smiling." said Vigilante.
"Yes. Just like me you have become an eyesore to both heavens and hell." said Spawn.
The angelic and demonic minions are pretty low level in both of those worlds but they are enough of a threat for both of them.
Barbatos saw both of them and said "You'll become my card to enter that universe."
"Sorry. But I am not fond of beings from Dark Multiverse. I'll kill them if I see them." said Vishal defiantly.
"This guy infused Batman with armors to enter this multiverse in comics, host. Be careful not to get attached to Nth metal armors." said the system.
"Got it." said Vishal as his eyes resonated Omni energy.
Spawn took out the "Reaper" and also chains encircled his body.
"Does it work on angels?" asked Vigilante.
"It won't destroy them but it can make them normal and send them back to heaven." said Spawn.
"Dopplegangers, 300." mumbled Vigilante.
About three hundred versions of himself appeared to assist them.
"What kind of freak are you?" asked Spawn.
"A freak who doesn't hold back on scumbags." said Vigilante as beams of blue energy kept soaring through angels and demons alike while other Dopplegangers used the metahuman and magical powers.
"They number about 1000. Don't hold back Spawn." shouted Vigilante.
The angel bats and demon bats kept pouring onto respective Dopplegangers and Spawn.
Asmodeus targeted Spawn while Barbatos decided to take on Vigilante.
With metahuman, angelic, demonic and magical powers Vigilante did not hold back because this is a battle which can change the fate of earth.
"Tell me system. Is four days the deadline to finish him so that Batman who laughs doesn't make it to Earth 22?" asked Vigilante as he used banishment on both angels and demons to send them back to their worlds removing the bat corruption by using Omni Beams.
"Yes host. Even if you manage to kill Batman who laughs he will cause a lot of destruction that will take decades to recover." replied the system.
"So if I defeat Barbatos, we can stop him from entering right?" asked Vigilante.
"You can delay him by a decade host. His visor helps him take a glimpse into universes. I can make sure that he won't turn his attention here for a decade." replied the system.
"That's a relief. I'll send this god back to Dark multiverse. I also need to have a talk with both Lucifer and Michael for playing games against me." said Vigilante.
"Don't do it now host. They will crush you. When you're bloodline mastery reaches 75% you can beat them to your heart's content." said the system.
"Very well." replied Vishal.
"Can my angelic energy replace the Element X you've mentioned?" asked Vishal.
"Yes." replied the system.
But before he could do anything Barbatos used life drain and darkness power simultaneously.
"Bat god. Me and Spawn are both used to darkness and life drain is useless as we both are immortals." said VIshal mocking Barbatos.
"Spawn, I'll temporarily remove the effects of Dead Zone. Use your powers to hearts content." said VIshal as he used effect nullifying magic to suppress the effects and Spawn felt his powers come back.
'Now, let's kick some ass." said Spawn as he jumped onto Asmdeus.
