章 9: Pouring oil into fire
When Vishal teleported back into Gotham near the house he remembered something. "Yeah if rebellion does happen let's make sure that innocent people doesn't suffer."
"Ding! Host has completed the task. Host has been rewarded with Red Lantern's power."
"Good. Now combine teleportation with soul reader. Teleport those with evil intentions during the riot and rebellion tied up to outskirts of the city while protect the innocents by placing a barrier." Vishal said to the system.
"You're truly a worthy Anti Hero host." praised the system.
"Thank you system." said Vishal.
"There is one problem though host. This type of magic combined with skills will be traced out by those magicians." said the system.
"No need to worry. Take my Doppelganger and cast it from other part of the city. said Vishal.
"Alright." said the system and a Doppelganger appeared who made way to Financial district of Gotham and cast the spell.
Dr. Fate found the trace and appeared at the location immediately but the Doppelganger disappeared in an instant.
For past few days it is getting hard to see the fate because something is obstructing Nabu from seeing through and whenever it is forcibly done there is a backlash on spirit of Nabu.
He had to leave and return.
"Yeah, not easy to track me down as long as the system brother is with me." said Vishal.
"Thank you host." said the system.
Vishal smiled and entered the house they brought for themselves in the alley.
When he went up and looked through the window he saw adults and youth taking rods, chains, baseball bats and making way to GCPD headquarters.
"Fufu. Looks like I lit a massive flame under GCPD'S ass." said Vishal with a mischievous chuckle.
The social media has become a ground for insulting GCPD and Batman along with the league.
#BoycotttheGCPD and "#BoycotttheBatman became the trending topics where people badmouthed the Police officers, Gordon and Batman.
#Those fuckers had the gall to talk about the law when the entire GCPD is filled with skunk shit.
#Yeah, I've lost my father to Falcone's debt and when we went to court for justice one guys under Falcone's payroll made us drop the case. Mystical Punisher thank you for bringing peace to my father.
#Here I thought the bat freak would be genuine. Didn't expect him to hide such dark truths from the public and say that you should follow the law.
#He is the least eligible fucker to talk about law. Lost my two siblings to scarecrow and his gang. Batman put him in asylum and that guy broke out again. When I questioned him when he was patrolling he replied that I should believe in him and the law.
Many guys voiced their stories in social media without fear because they knew that there is a reaper called "Mystical Punisher" out there that will save him.
The people went to GCPD and saw barricades put up and saw them with water tankers and tear gas.
The crowd stopped but anger was more dominating than the fear. They ran towards the Police. Many places people tried to loot and do other evil things during the riot but they all disappeared without trace.
When Police aimed the rubber bullets at the approaching crowd barriers appeared blocking the attacks. They used Water from tankers and tear gas but the barriers protected them from all. No innocent life got harmed in the fight between the public and the Police.
The Public tore down the barricades and fought the Police. Due to the barrier the Police couldn't harm the guys who are fighting for Justice.
In the alleys of Gotham and many other establishments goons, thugs were beaten to shit by the crowd. Even women took up baseball bats and beat some thugs to near death.
Gordon could not control the crowd. The crowd heard a huge sound and saw Batman appear in a jet and take Gordon away from the angry crowd.
"Bastard. You chose not to change the things and I lost my son." said a middle aged guy.
Many insults from public were hurled towards the escaping duo.
In other parts of the city where Judges live, corrupt judges were dragged out of their houses. Some judges had innocent family members so they were protected by the barrier. The presence of a barrier indicated to the crowd that the person is innocent and not corrupt.
In the Watch Tower...
"It's no use. He did what Joker had done a decade ago." said Superman banging the table.
"The videos are shared all over the country and the White house is facing terrible pressure for their handling of Gotham since their party member is the mayor in Gotham." said Wonder Woman.
"There is no choice then. Cyborg cut off the connection between the satellite and the devices. Bruce has messed up and I don't want our own cities to erupt into turmoil." said Superman.
"Very well." said Cyborg.
"Done." said Cyborg after few minutes.
In next minute "What?"
"What happened?" asked Flash.
"The devices are still transmitting the messages." said Cyborg.
"How could this be?" asked Hal Jordan.
"There is some kind of supernatural shit going on." said Flash.
Vishal knew these guys would do something like this so he used Technomancy under Magic skill to transfer the connection to other satellite if link is severed after he exposed the dark truths.
They also tried to turn off the satellite functions and tried to hack the mobile towers to stop the transmissions but nothing worked.
Vishal asked his Dad to give an interview with Vicki Vale and broadcast it all over the country.
Ravindra called Vicki Vale for an interview and asked it to be a nation wide broadcast. The interviews are generally done by the VP Edmund of the company and these two never gave interview.
Vicki Vale was happy at a chance to interview the founder of "Amarnath group of Industries."
Many criminals, Police and Judges were killed that night in the riots. There are only two guys who are laughing at the situation. One is Vishal and other is Joker from Arkham cell.
The next day the riots died down after military was sent to cull down people. They didn't know that another bomb is about to be dropped. Sincere Police officers were unharmed due to barrier on them.
In the afternoon...
"Good day Gotham. I am Vicki Vale reporting from "Amarnath group of Industries". Today I am going to interview the founder of the company Ravindra." said Vicki Vale.
"Thank you for giving me a chance for the interview." said Vicki Vale facing Ravindra in a private room with camera setup.
"Not at all Ms.Vale. It's my honor to be interviewed by the famous Vicki Vale." said Ravindra with a decent smile.
"Tell me something. I've heard your family used to be part of old crime alley. How were you able to achieve this much." asked Vicki Vale.
"It's due to the stocks. My son used to invest and his luck is too high." replied Ravindra.
Many other questions were asked until she asked about their family.
Vishal who was watching waited for this.
Ravindra's face turned serious and he said "We have a tragic past we could not talk before but it is time the world knows how me and my son suffered due to crime.
When Vishal was 3 years old I had to borrow money from Black Mask because we couldn't afford a loan because didn't have anything to put as security. I diligently paid the money every month until one month I could not pay back because my daughter was sick and I couldn't payback.
Black Mas sent his men and dragged away my wife and cut her throat as a reminder not to be late again."
The people who were watching felt their hearts sink on hearing the conversation. Batman and Gordon were watching through Bat computer and they questioned themselves if what they had done all these years is right.
"Thats-" said Vicki Vale. "That's not even the worst part. Batman captured Black Mask and the goons involved and threw them in prison. The Police assured Justice will be done but he came out after 2 days on bail easily. The thugs threatened to kill our son and family so we had to back away."
The bomb exploded again and crowd went into frenzy and cussed the Police and Black Mask.
"What about your daughter?" asked Vicki Vale.
"She was 10 years and she was abducted by mad Hatter when she was playing with friends in the neighborhood. He... He r*ped her and threw her unconscious body in a dumpster. She could not take the shame and committed suicide by jumping from our apartment when we were away." said Ravindra as tears started forming in his eyes.
Vicki Vale gasped for breath.
"Batman.. caught him and threw him back into asylum. But only after 2 weeks he broke out and escaped." said Ravindra as the sadness came out in the form of tears.
"We didn't have the economic capacity or the strength to go on. After coming to know that Mad Hatter escaped my little... boy fell into shock for 3 days straight and when he woke up he had high fever. He changed that day." said Ravindra crying his heart.
Another bomb hit the crowd. Many fathers who had daughters saw Ravindra and decided to protect their daughters even if it means to kill.
Gordon and Batman were shocked to the core on hearing the story from Ravindra's mouth.
The people had enough of this. No one would want their loved ones killed or violated. Vishal poured oil into the already burning fire through his father and Gotham is ready to take on the crime head on.
