It's true that Gryffindor can't keep secrets hidden at all!
Albert ventured alone into the Forbidden Forest in the middle of the night and rescued Fred and George, a deed that has now become widely known among Hogwarts students.
It is said that on his way into the forest, Albert also defeated a large number of spider-like creatures and, with the help of a Centaur, successfully found the Weasley brothers.
Of course, some people scoff at such legendary stories.
After all, you can never expect a first-year student to venture into the Forbidden Forest alone and defeat a group of terrifying monsters. It's probably just a dream, right?
Regardless of how fierce and incredible the rumors were, Albert neither confirmed nor denied them.
The next morning, after the rumors had spread throughout the school, a large group of students cornered Albert at the dining table, asking about this legendary adventure. Albert reluctantly put down his fork while eating and looked up at everyone, saying, "Actually, that night, I fought and defeated a large number of spider-like creatures along the way. I even almost got into a fight with a Centaur. In the end, it was through negotiations that the Centaur agreed to guide me to the red sparks Fred released. When I arrived, I saw Fred and George being cornered by a group of spider-like creatures on a tree. It was a tough battle, but I managed to defeat the monsters and drive away the giant spiders to rescue the Weasley brothers."
A strange silence fell over the hall, and everyone looked at each other. After a moment, someone couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"Well, if you don't believe it, that's fine," Albert sighed deeply and helplessly addressed the audience with a resigned tone. "You believe in rumors like this, yet you come to me to ask if it's true. I really don't know if you think there's not enough homework during the holidays or if you're just dim-witted."
Many people's faces turned dark instantly. They could sense the underlying meaning in Albert's words: if you believe in rumors and still come to ask me, then either you're bored or you're stupid. After all, as the person involved, Albert had spoken, so the matter naturally came to an end.
"Is this really fake?" Shanna couldn't help but ask further.
"Who knows?" Albert replied dismissively. "Next time, believe fewer rumors. Stupidity is a contagious disease. Some things require your own judgment."
"I believe you defeated over a hundred spider-like creatures," Shanna suddenly said, "Gryffindor House gets sixty points."
"Just be happy yourself!" Albert's mouth twitched, and he replied helplessly.
"This is definitely true, let me tell you, Albert..." Fred was about to tell Shanna about what had happened back then but was fiercely stared at by Albert.
"I remember you have a week of detention, right?" Albert suddenly interrupted Fred, "Filch told me to remind you to be in his office on time at six o'clock tonight."
Detention?
So, this thing was indeed true.
Shanna looked at the crestfallen Weasley brothers and thought so.
Gryffindor's points suddenly increased by sixty. That couldn't be faked.
If the points hadn't suddenly increased so much, no one would have believed the rumor or even wanted to hear the so-called truth.
This whole thing is just too unbelievable.
However, the points were right there, so that's why the scene just happened.
After all, this matter has a legendary color to it, and many people are unwilling to believe that a first-year student could accomplish such a feat. If Albert says it's just a rumor, they will console themselves by saying it's fake and move on. As for mocking Albert about it? He himself didn't say it was true, and he even casually labeled everyone watching as stupid. If they continue to dwell on it, wouldn't they appear foolish themselves?
"But what about the points?" Angelina curiously asked.
"Well, Jordan and I immediately informed Professor McGonagall about the incident, and through an owl, McGonagall confirmed that Fred and George had entered the forest. So the professor awarded both of us thirty points," Albert gave a meaningful glance to Jordan next to him, who nodded repeatedly to indicate that's how it happened.
Angelina looked at the two of them suspiciously and stopped asking further.
"Ahem, let's go to the library to do our holiday homework!" Albert suggested.
Fred and George raised their hands in agreement. They were far behind in their homework progress compared to others, and Lee Jordan didn't refuse either. They needed to finish their work early to have time to play.
"I suddenly feel that those people are so foolish to believe your nonsense!" Fred muttered.
"That's because they don't want to admit it," a voice behind Albert spoke up. The four of them stopped in their tracks and turned their heads in the direction of the voice. It was Izabel.
"Professor Brode is looking for you," Izabel said to Albert.
"Sorry, let's do homework together another day," Albert apologized with a glance at his roommates and walked towards the second-floor office of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.
"Congratulations on becoming a prominent figure at Hogwarts. Many people are discussing your exploits. Perhaps you can record this event in your notes, and in a few years, it will become a legendary story," Izabel said.
"No need, thanks," Albert replied unkindly. "And next time, listen to fewer rumors. Listening to them too much can make people foolish and lose their basic judgment."
"There's a special contribution medal for you in the Trophy Room. If you don't believe it, go and see for yourself," Izabel glanced at Albert and casually reminded, "And next time, when you deceive others, remember not to reveal too many flaws."
"I just said what everyone wanted to hear!" Albert shrugged, completely unfazed by Izabel's attempt to expose him. "Sometimes, people don't want to hear the truth. They only want to hear the results they desire. There's no need to stubbornly confront them, it's meaningless."
Izabel looked at Albert and suddenly said, "Next time you talk to me, remember to hide your twisted sense of humor. When you treat others as fools, don't you think you're also being foolish?"
"I just stated the facts," Albert shrugged.
"So, that thing is true, you really..." a voice suddenly spoke up, and when Albert stopped in his tracks, he happened to see Katrina walking towards them.
"Fake," Albert answered decisively.
"Do I look stupid to you?" Katrina looked at her sister Izabel, as if seeking an answer from her.
"Fake," Izabel said.
Katrina: "..." Did you both think I didn't hear your conversation just now?
"Whether it's true or not, this matter is already fake," Izabel explained.
"Why?" Katrina asked puzzledly.
"Because as the person involved, I said it's fake!" Albert said matter-of-factly. "So naturally, this matter is fake."
