He would awaken to an extremely distraught Aubrey by his bedside.

"Aubrey?" Rhyland muttered. "What are you doing here?"

"Rhyland! Thank God! You're awake. I flew back as soon as I heard." Aubrey exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. But the sweet reunion would only last that long. As Aubrey pulled back, she had a stern expression on her face.

"When were you planning to tell me about all this?!" Aubrey demanded.

"Hehehe. When everything was over." Rhyland answered in a chuckle.

"Rhyland!" She admonished.

Instead he asked evasively.

"Who told you?"
