章 27: Chapter 27: Attack on Aubrey

"Shh…Don't cry, love."

The rest of the night was a blur for Aubrey. Somehow she had gotten out of the restaurant without being seen by Beverly and Ricky and was driven home by Rhyland. An hour later she was tucked in bed and had cried herself to sleep.

Truthfully, Aubrey was thankful to Rhyland. The man did not ask any questions and simply drove her home in silence. He had even made it so that Aubrey didn't have to contact the pair afterwards, making an excuse that she had got her period and needed to go home.

Despite being an introvert, Aubrey truly appreciated not having to be alone at this time.

Aubrey went through the next several days in a daze. She woke up at a normal time, ate at a normal time and went to school as usual. The only difference was that she would cry when no one was looking.

Then one day she woke up and she didn't feel like crying anymore.
