Upon waking, Scarlet surveyed her room and let out a sigh when she realized she had overslept, and the day had already turned dark.

As she sat up, she felt a weight on her lap and looked down to find Aurora's peaceful sleeping face resting there. Had she been so deeply asleep that she hadn't noticed Aurora's presence in the room?

Tenderly rubbing Aurora's white hair, which always intrigued her, Scarlet wondered if her friend had origins beyond just being human, there was something extraordinary about that white hair.

"Hmmm," Aurora shifted, moaning as she woke up, standing up immediately when she met Scarlet's gaze.

"How are you feeling?" Aurora asked with concern and relief evident in her voice.
