It was a maid who came to deliver the message. Aurora dismissed the maid, but she insisted, "He said to make sure I escort you back."

'That annoying man,' Aurora thought, feeling grumpy as she stood up to follow the maid to the dining room. Damien was so authoritative and irritating, she could have easily gone to the dining room by herself. What was the need for this mini entourage?

As she descended the stairs, she noticed everyone's gazes fixed on her, which made her nervous. Why were they looking at her as if she were a stranger?

Except for Damien, who kept his attention on his phone, the rest of them continued to gaze at her until she took her seat next to Dave.

"Thank goodness you are alright. I was going to check up on you, but your Alpha stopped anyone from coming over," Dave expressed his concern as soon as she sat beside him.
