Two colossal beings clashed back and forth in the city, destroying the surrounding buildings. Looking at the approaching support mechs in the distance, Yi Hu's brow furrowed. He retracted the mechs into his backpack and stood in the air,
Two beams of thermal energy pierced through the mech's armor, severing Jack and Knight in half, as fear filled their eyes. With their demise, the entire world began to turn surreal. In the next moment, Yi Hu found himself back in the abandoned factory where he was before.
Following the address left by Charles, Yi Hu arrived at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. He waved to Jessica, who was running with a group of mutant children on the playground.
"You're free to move now!" Jessica announced before running towards Yi Hu. She shouted loudly, "Boss, you're finally back! When are we leaving?"
"I see you were quite happy just now. If you like, you can stay here. With Professor X around, I believe you won't encounter any problems," Yi Hu replied with a slight smile and a calm tone. However, Jessica shook her head and whispered, "It was fine at first, but it started getting boring over time. Besides, the Professor has been saying someone is trying to interfere with his thoughts lately."
Yi Hu's pupils contracted as he remembered a plotline from the X-Men, but according to the timeline, the person involved should have appeared when Charles was younger. With that thought, Yi Hu dismissed the idea of asking Jessica to stay. He brought her to the headmaster's office to bid farewell to Charles.
"Wait," Cyclops gathered his courage and called out to the two who were about to leave. He whispered, "Can you tell me how to control it?"
Yukihira looked at Cyclops with a shrug, his voice flat as he said, "I don't know what's going on either. It's probably a talent..."
Cyclops mouth twitched as he felt that he had been played by the other party, but he couldn't come up with a reason to refute it. He was frustrated.
Yi Hu brought Jessica to Stark Mansion. After receiving Stark's permission, the two of them arrived at the ground floor. Yi Hu calmly sat on the sofa and said, "I'm planning to sell you 10% of my shares."
Stark picked up the coffee on the table, pointed to the opposite seat, and said softly, "No problem. But I'm more curious about your identity. S.H.I.E.L.D. has thoroughly investigated your information but found no trace of you. Can you tell me your real identity?"
Yi Hu, preparing to stand up, wore a strange expression upon hearing that. Jessica, who was beside him, remained calm and pricked up her ears, ready to listen to some juicy gossip from her boss.
Yi Hu looked at Stark, his tone unkind, as he said, "Knowing too much won't be good for you."
Seeing Yi Hu about to leave, Jessica quickly stood up. Stark sighed and said in a low voice, "You've done me a favour, and I don't want to stand against you. S.H.I.E.L.D. has their eye on you. Be careful from now on. I had someone rebuild that house for you, but it will take about a month to complete."
A glint of coldness flashed in Yi Hu's eyes. He wasn't pleased with Nick Fury's methods. He nodded at Stark and left the mansion with Jessica.
The two of them arrived at the hotel where Yi Hu initially woke up. They planned to wait here until the house was rebuilt. Yi Hu sat on the sofa, recalling the events of Apocalypse. The adversary was the first known mutant with the ability to absorb the powers of other mutants. Over thousands of years, he had accumulated considerable power and could enhance the abilities of other mutants.
Yi Hu couldn't help but be envious of that power. If it weren't for Jean Grey's unleashing of the Phoenix Force in the movie, young Charles and the others might not have defeated Apocalypse. But in the current world, Apocalypse's power would be formidable.
"Comrades, I am Apocalypse. Let us together establish a kingdom exclusively for mutants!"
Yi Hu glanced at Jessica with a hint of surprise in her eyes. She understood that they both heard the voice, but after a moment of thought, she decided not to pay it any attention.
Meanwhile, in a glacier beneath the Arctic, a figure swiftly moved through the water. Namor McKenzie, holding the Neptune Trident in his right hand, broke through the ice and landed on the shore. He had heard that the people of this tribe worshipped a piece of ice as their faith, which was a blatant disregard for him as the King of Atlantis.
How dare they believe in something else on his territory! Namor forcefully plunged the trident into the ice and manipulated the seawater to engulf the massive ice chunk, causing the people of the tribe to kneel and worship him upon witnessing his control over the sea.
Just then, the voice of Apocalypse echoed in Namor's mind. A trace of disinterest flickered in his eyes. Dealing with just Atlantis alone was already enough of a headache for him.
After Namor left, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who had been observing from a distance rushed into the tribe, searching for any trace of Steve. A month ago, they detected Steve's life force but were ambushed during the excavation, resulting in his disappearance within the frozen block of ice.
After a thorough search, they finally found the ice block that contained Steve, about 500 meters away from the tribe. A week later, in the underground research facility of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Nick Fury gazed complexly at the robust figure on the experimental platform through the glass.
Apocalypse used his teleportation ability to arrive at the Brotherhood of Mutants, spreading his arms and shouting, "Some of you will become my knights. Now, start pleasing me!"
However, the members of the Brotherhood merely shifted their gazes to Magneto, waiting to see how he would respond. Erik furrowed his brows when he saw the sudden appearance of these individuals. It was evident that they didn't hold him in high regard.
Apocalypse raised his hands, and the iron elements within his body surged violently. Metal objects around him began to move towards him, but as he launched an energy blast towards Magneto from a meter away, an invisible magnetic field separated the powerful energy just before it reached Magneto.
Unable to harm Magneto with his energy beams, Apocalypse resorted to using telepathy to try to control him mentally. However, despite several attempts, he couldn't break through Magneto's mental defences. Apocalypse's expression darkened as he looked at the helmet worn by Magneto.
After trying various powers and failing to break through the magnetic field surrounding Magneto, Magneto couldn't help but feel a headache from the versatile abilities of Apocalypse. His insane healing ability reminded him of Wolverine.
After a moment of silence, Apocalypse spoke in a low voice, "Your powers are strong. I am willing to join forces with you to establish a mutant empire that will rule the world!"
Erik rolled his eyes, feeling that the other party might be a little deranged. There were too many powerful individuals in this world. In his youth, he had seen a mage create a pocket dimension with a wave of his hand, and there was also Namor of Atlantis who could control the sea with the Trident of Neptune.
In addition, the recent viral videos of Thor on the internet and the battle between the two giants from some time ago all told him that the world was far more vast than he had imagined.
