*Ding!-Dong!*
A resounding clang resonated through the air, instantly capturing attention as the doorbell chimed with fervor and hurried footsteps emanated from behind the door, its pace quickening with each passing moment.
In front of the door stood a brown-haired teenager, his eyes filled with determination and a hint of nervous anticipation.
He drew in a deep breath, the rise and fall of his chest evident in the tension of the moment. With steady hands, he reached out and clasped the handle, feeling the cool metal against his skin.
A confident smile slowly etched its way across his face, radiating a mix of reassurance. Without hesitation, he opened the door, revealing a figure with flowing blonde hair standing before him, her eyes sparkling with joy.
A wide smile adorned her face, showcasing her pearly white teeth as she eagerly extended her hand in greeting, a gesture of warmth and enthusiasm.
"YO!"
"Yo!"
Gracefully, she stepped across the threshold, carrying a bottle of champagne in one hand. In her other arm, she playfully shoved a box of piping hot pizza into Peter's surprised embrace, a delectable scent wafting through the air. A bag brimming with popcorn packets swung from her shoulder,
Seeing her walk inside as if she owned it, Peter followed in her footsteps, a faint smile lingering on his lips.
He pointed at the bag of popcorn.
"Don't you think that's a little too much popcorn?"
His expression turned noticeably pale as his gaze fixated on the bag of popcorn. Hesitation flickered across his features, and his mind instantly transported him back to the traumatic memory—of being burned to death by caramel-flavored popped kernels.
Gwen's gaze shifted towards Peter, her expression adopting a deadpanned look, eyebrows slightly raised. A reminiscent smile formed on her face.
"Well, there was a good discount."
Turning on her heels, Gwen shifted her attention toward the boy standing before her. It had been a while since they had engaged in a genuine conversation. Ever since the incident when she got bit by a spider, their interactions had been scarce which she felt sad about.
That's exactly why she was so damn thrilled today. A much-needed break to unwind and let loose. It wasn't an everyday thing for her, and that's what made it all the more special. The thought of just kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying some quality downtime put a wide grin on her face.
Seriously, what could top the sheer awesomeness of chowing down on popcorn and pizza, all while indulging in some epic zombie movies with your absolute best friend?
Gwen took a moment to ponder, her mind always buzzing with an intensity that seemed to match her newfound spider powers. All of her thoughts were very damn loud, it was like as if she was high on cannabis.
'Hmm, other than swinging down tall buildings... nothing!'
With a smile still playing on her lips, Gwen took a few steps closer to Peter, her expression shifting to one of mild surprise. A mischievous glint danced in her eyes as she reached out and lightly touched his biceps, her fingers grazing his chest in a playful manner.
An unmistakable sense of curiosity flickered across Gwen's features, her lips slightly pouting in contemplation.
"You have grown taller... are you working out?"
Peter didn't utter a word. Instead, he shot her a cheeky wink while placing the pizza right smack on the coffee table in front of the TV in the living room.
"It's a secret," he whispered, with a mischievous grin.
With a nod of understanding, she sauntered over to the kitchen. Grabbing a bowl, she began emptying the pockets of popcorn into it.
"If you are, I'll come with you."
Peter strolled up to her, his hand eagerly reaching for a handful of popcorn. But just as he was about to pop it into his mouth, Gwen playfully tapped his hand, causing the corn to scatter back into the safety of the bowl.
"Whoa, nice reflexes!" Peter chuckled, giving Gwen a playful nudge. "Saved by the popcorn police, huh?"
"It's for the movie."
the boy protested, pouting slightly. "But... but we already have so much popcorn!"
Gwen grinned and playfully rolled her eyes. "Hey, you can never have too much popcorn, Peter. It's an unwritten rule of movie nights. Plus, we wouldn't want to run out halfway through, would we?"
Peter sighed, surrendering to Gwen's logic. "Alright, fine. Load up on the popcorn, then.
Gwen arched an eyebrow mischievously, grabbing a generous handful of popcorn and casually munching on it as she continued talking, ignoring Peter's exaggerated look of betrayal.
"We're gonna stay up the entire night," she declared, her words slightly muffled by the mouthful of popcorn.
A cheeky smile played on Gwen's lips as she continued, her eyes filled with playful mischief as she teased the boy before her.
"...to Netflix and chill," she added, her tone laced with a hint of naughtiness.
Peter's eyes widened, caught off guard by Gwen's suggestive remark.
'She still remembers... kill me.'
He blushed slightly, his mind racing to catch up with the playful banter.
Peter looked at her with a disdainful expression as the girl hogged the popcorn, he muttered.
"You're gonna choke on all that popcorn,"
"N-PFSKH!!!" Gwen suddenly clutched her throat, collapsing to the floor in distress. Peter's eyes widened in alarm.
He swiftly grabbed a bottle of water and rushed to Gwen's side, holding her tenderly in his embrace.
"Hey, hey, it's okay," Peter whispered soothingly, his voice filled with genuine concern. He carefully brought the bottle of water to Gwen's lips, supporting her as he rubbed her back gently.
"Take small sips, Gwen. Easy does it," he murmured,
Gwen took small sips of the water, gradually transitioning to bigger ones as her throat eased. It didn't take long for her to consume almost half of the water bottle. She glanced at it, a thoughtful expression on her face, and whispered in an analytical tone.
"So, spider-woman is not immune to choking, huh..."
She raised her eyes to meet Peter's gaze, intending to thank him for his help, but as she glanced around, she suddenly became acutely aware of their position. Gwen found herself in Peter's embrace, their closeness and the intimate moment giving her pause.
A slight blush crept onto her cheeks, and her words caught in her throat for a moment. Gwen's back had inadvertently pressed against Peter's chest, the proximity creating an unexpected sense of intimacy.
She could feel the warmth and steady presence of his body against her back, a sensation that felt different from their usual interactions as best friends.
Turning around to face Peter, Gwen tucked a strand of hair behind her heating ear, her gaze hesitant to meet his for extended periods. There was a subtle pout on her lips as she spoke, her annoyance evident in her glare.
"You raised a flag," she muttered, her tone laced with a mix of irritation.
The brown-haired teenager chuckled, his nervousness giving way to a sense of excitement. He took a step forward, extending his hand towards the blonde girl who sat on the floor.
Gwen gazed at Peter's hand with a hint of hesitation, briefly closing her eyes as if collecting her thoughts. When she reopened them, her blue eyes sparkled with an oceanic brilliance, captivating in their beauty. A soft, genuine smile spread across her face, revealing her adorable teeth.
"Thanks," she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude and a touch of vulnerability.
Peter's eyes widened in a mix of astonishment and admiration as he found himself momentarily dumbfounded by Gwen's radiant smile.
Reigning his jaw back, his fingers sneakily crept toward the bowl but as if Gwen's spider senses rang, she pulled the bowl away and took a handful of it.
A sly expression danced across Gwen's face, her lips curling into a mischievous smile. She met Peter's gaze with a glint of determination in her eyes.
"No popcorn... until the movie,"
Peter let out a soft groan, his gaze lingering on Gwen's retreating figure as she walked towards the couch. His eyes involuntarily lowered, subtly admiring her figure for a moment.
Gwen's figure possessed a graceful, willowy quality, accentuated by her long legs and an hourglass-shaped waist. The elegant way she walked and moved seemed almost effortless, hinting at her past experiences as a ballerina during her childhood.
"Damn, she got the bakery." He almost whistled, lightly peeking at her petite but firm ass.
His eyebrows raised slightly as he followed closely behind her, settling on the couch side by side. As they jumped onto it, their bodies landing in unison, Peter turned to face Gwen, his gaze shifting from the couch to her.
"On second thought, you don't need to gym."
Gwen reached over to switch on the television and navigated to the Netflix app, her fingers deftly tapping on the remote control. As she tilted her head, she glanced at Peter with a playful side-eye.
"Really?"
Peter's smile widened as he seized the opportunity, swiftly grabbing Gwen's hand that was holding the remote.
His touch lingered for a moment, noticing the smoothness of her skin, which seemed to have an almost addictive feel to it. Their eyes locked, his gaze fixed on her captivating blue eyes, and he couldn't help but let out a coy smirk.
"Yeah, because you're already beautiful,"
