章 11: Chapter 11 DNA test reveal
"Grandma, I missed you have you been behaving well?" Lisa's mood immediately changed when she walked into the house.
"Silly girl," the old lady said softly.
"Grandma, let me check your pulse," after a while she let go of her hand.
"You seem to be doing well grandma, your insomnia has also been cured,"
"Yeah, thanks to you, the medicine that you prescribed worked well,"
"How about I prepare you dinner, what do you think of that?"
"Sure, but before that, we need to talk," the old lady stared at Lisa despite her cheerful smile she knew something was bothering her. The Old Lady was someone who could see through someone especially someone as open as Lisa.
"My dear, you don't have to hold it in you can talk to grandma," hearing that, Lisa immediately understood what she meant.
"Grandma, what they said is not the whole truth, this is what happened," after narrating the whole incident, she was shocked when the Old Lady chuckled.
"Silly girl, do you think I'm that weak to believe a stranger's words over yours?" Lisa heaved a sigh of relief when she heard that.
"Avenge my granddaughter," the Old Lady turned to Ethan who was standing not too far away.
"Grandma, thank you,"
"Why are you thanking me?"
"The Old Lady really loves you don't need to thank her,"
"Silly girl, now wipe your tears,"
"Grandma, I'll go prepare food,"
"Go on," before she could move an inch, Lisa's phone rang.
"Hello..."
"Lisa, the DNA results are out," Sandy yelled on the phone.
"The DNA results are out," Lisa turned to Ethan.
"Didn't you hear me?" Sandy yelled again.
"Tell her to bring give her the address, grandma would also love to meet her,"
"Okay,"
"Bring it to Lake View Phase 4,"
"You mean the James' mansion?" She asked in shock.
"Yeah,"
"Is the handsome man there?"
"No, he isn't here"
Hearing that, everyone burst out in laughter.
"What is she talking about?" the Old Lady couldn't help but ask.
"Kai," Ethan replied sternly.
"Speaking of Kai, call him back don't overwork him," the Old Lady spoke. The Old Lady took Kai as his own grandson and even loved him more than Ethan.
After the call, Lisa walked into the kitchen to prepare the meals leaving Ethan eyeing her from the door.

"You are here, welcome in," Lisa opened the door for Sandy.
"Woaaah, Lisa is this where you guys live? You are indeed lucky, I feel so proud of you. I raised you well," Sandy spoke proudly.
"Quite yapping, let's go everyone is waiting for you,"
"Everyone? By any chance.....is this?" Reality hit her.
"Yes, it is," Lisa said almost bursting out in laughter. She knew Sandy very well despite being talkative she wasn't someone who was good at socializing this was also one of the many reasons that they had become close to each other.
"Don't worry, the handsome man is also here,"
"You mean Kai?" She said excitedly.
"Yes, what are you waiting for hurry up," Lisa stared at her change of mood and then shook her head with a smile.
"So, are you ready to open it?"
"No, let's go eat first," they walked into the dining room where everyone was waiting patiently.
"Grandma, this is Sandy Cheeks my best friend,"
"Hi, Grandma," Sandy spoke softly.
"This is Aunt Lin, Grandma's right-hand,"
"Hi, Aunt Lin nice to meet you all,"
"Enough with the courtesy come sit, my granddaughter made this herself," Lisa nodded at her before taking a seat next to Ethan.
"Should I open it for you?" Everyone sat in silence after the meal waiting to know the results of the DNA test.
Lisa was silent for a while before slowly nodding her head. Ethan took the brown envelope from her hand and then held her hand tightly as he opened it.
"I'm here," he whispered before unfolding the paper. He stared at it for a while before shaking his head.
"You want to confirm?" Ethan asked softly.
"No need,"
"Are you okay?" He asked again.
"I don't know," she didn't know how she was to feel but deep down, Lisa felt quite relieved. After what she had gone through in that household.
"I'm happy," Ethan said with a smile reducing the tension in the room.
"Me too, but I can't believe she kept it hidden for so long if....if it wasn't for you I would still be living in the dark,"
"I told you, there was something fishy with that lady how could she treat her own daughter with so much hatred?" Sandy added.
"What will you do now?"
"I'll do what I should have done a long time ago, fight back," Lisa's face instantly became dark and full of determination. She had a newfound spirit. She had finally been woken up.
Ethan couldn't do anything about that, he would just sit and back and support her up in whatever she wanted to do.
"Now that is my best friend," Sandy spoke cheerfully. It was as if a new energy had also been ignited inside her.
She became her friend after seeing how weak and frail Lisa was. She was the kind of child who everyone could bully it was at that time that she chose to protect her. Seeing how strong she had become made her feel so proud.
