章 20: Lumine and the others went to the Wind Dragon Ruins

"Owner, since those worlds can appear in manga, does that mean Teyvat will also appear in manga in the future?" Takarou glanced at Albedo, surprised that he would ask such a question.

However, he couldn't be completely certain whether or not Genshin Impact, the manga, would appear in his comic store in the future. So, he could only respond, "Maybe in the future, it's highly possible. By then, you might be able to see the manga of Teyvat."

"Owner, if those worlds in manga are part of a single world, will the rewards we obtain affect that world?" Albedo asked. "After all, the rewards we receive come from those worlds in the manga."

"No, you can think of those worlds in the manga as parallel worlds," Takarou explained. "The rewards you obtain from the parallel worlds won't have any impact on the original world."

"I see. Owner, thank you for your answer," Albedo nodded, feeling relieved by Owner's explanation.

Afterward, Albedo asked several questions related to alchemy. He realized that Takarou could answer all of his questions and even provide explanations for some of them. This made Albedo find Takarou even more mysterious.

"Owner, thank you for today. If you ever need any help in the future, you can find me. I'll do my best to assist you with anything I can," Albedo offered.

"Okay."

"Then, Owner, we'll take our leave."

"Klee, let's go with Albedo."

"Okay."

"Takarou Brother, bye-bye."

"Goodbye."

Albedo, along with Klee and Sucrose, boarded the three-wheeled aircraft and left the New Century Comic Store.

Takarou sat in his chair, looking at the task on the system. He had already received 17 guests and only needed three more to complete the task. He wondered what manga would be chosen and what rewards he would obtain.

Takarou felt excited, eagerly anticipating what awaited him. Mewtwo walked in from behind, holding a plate with tea prepared for Takarou. With no other staff in the store, Mewtwo and Takarou were responsible for managing and maintaining the store.

"Mewtwo, do you think I should hire an employee?" Takarou asked, contemplating the idea.

Mewtwo looked at Takarou, pondered for a moment, and nodded in agreement.

"Then let's see if we find someone suitable to join the store. That way, I won't have to explain everything to every customer who comes in," Takarou decided.

"Albedo, did you come back this time to play with Klee? How long will you stay?" Klee held Albedo's hand, looking up at him curiously.

Albedo smiled gently and replied, "Klee, Albedo will stay in Mondstadt for a long time. When Albedo isn't busy, I'll take you out to play, alright?"

"Yay!"

"Sucrose, have you managed to create the bouncy that can jump and run?" Klee asked.

"Um..."

"Klee, I'm sorry, but Sucrose hasn't been able to create it yet," Sucrose said somewhat embarrassedly.

Last time, she had promised Klee that she would create a bouncy that could jump and run to entertain her. But she didn't expect Klee to ask about it today.

"Oh, it's alright, Sucrose. Klee isn't in a hurry," Albedo reassured.

"Klee, why do you want a bouncy that can jump and run?" Takarou asked.

"If we have bouncies that can jump and run, I want them to be all over the roads in Mondstadt," Klee explained.

"Um..." Sucrose couldn't help but facepalm upon hearing Klee's response. If they really managed to create it, Jean would probably be the first person to scold her, considering the explosive nature of bouncies. If they appeared all over Mondstadt and caused explosions, the city might disappear from Teyvat altogether.

"Oh, you're back," Lisa greeted. "Hello, Lisa," Klee responded timidly. Ever since Lisa scolded her when she called her "Aunt Lisa," Klee started addressing her as "Sister Lisa."

Klee didn't know why Lisa cared about the title, but she didn't dare to call her "Aunt Lisa" anymore.

Upon hearing Klee's voice, Lisa looked at her and smiled. In Klee's eyes, Lisa's smile seemed like that of a great demon king.

"So, how was your visit to the New Century Comic Store? What did you get this time?" Lisa asked.

"Sucrose got a three-wheeled aircraft. You can fly by stepping on the pedals," Klee answered.

"Oh, a three-wheeled aircraft? I haven't tried flying in a plane yet. Sucrose, let's try it sometime," Lisa suggested.

"Sure, Lisa."

"And what about you, Albedo?" Lisa asked.

"I obtained knowledge, specifically about trains," Albedo replied.

"Trains? You mean those long vehicles from Detective Conan where people can travel together?" Lisa inquired.

"Yes, exactly. Not only that, if we manage to create trains, we can lay tracks and transport goods directly from Mondstadt to Liyue for trade," Albedo explained.

"Trains are indeed convenient. If we can research and create them, we could all travel together from Mondstadt to Liyue for sightseeing," Lisa remarked.

"You should play with Klee today. I'll inform Jean about this matter," Lisa suggested.

"Alright."

Lisa left to find Jean and inform her of the train idea. Jean showed great interest in the concept.

"If we can really create trains, it will bring great convenience in various aspects," Jean pondered. "However, if we do manage to research and create them, we'll need to lay tracks all the way to Liyue."

"Jean, regarding this matter, I think we should write a letter to Ningguang, the Tianquan of Liyue, and see what she thinks," Lisa proposed. "After all, if trains are created, it will greatly facilitate the exchange between Mondstadt and Liyue."

"In the past, it would take several days for merchants from Liyue to reach Mondstadt. But if we have trains, it might only take a morning to travel between the two cities," Jean noted.

"So, let's write to her and discuss this matter once the train is researched," Jean decided.

As more and more people obtained rewards from the comic store, Jean realized that changes were necessary for Mondstadt. She had been contemplating the future direction of the city, not just the Wind Dragon incident. However, she understood that change couldn't be rushed; it had to be a gradual process.

"That's good. Lisa, I'll write a letter to Ningguang later and inform her of this. Once the train is researched, we can discuss the next steps," Jean concluded, determined to make progress.

Apart from this matter, Lumine, Jean, Venti, and Diluc also went to the Wind Dragon Ruins the next day to deal with the Wind Dragon issue.

The group arrived at the entrance of the Wind Dragon Ruins, but a barrier blocked their way.

"Oh, it's a storm barrier!" Paimon exclaimed, surprised.

"Wow, it looks very dangerous," Lumine commented.

"Leave it to me," Venti said confidently. "Although I only have an ordinary wooden bow, I don't even need Anemo to break through this wind barrier—huh? What's that?"

As Venti spoke, a large group of Hilichurls and Hilichurl Berserkers appeared behind them.

"Venti, you play your music. We'll take care of this," Lumine turned and said to Venti, drawing her sword.

"We'll help too," Jean stepped forward, wielding her sword, Windblume.

The strength of the group far surpassed that of the Hilichurls and Berserkers, and they quickly dispatched them. After dealing with the enemies, Venti took out his wooden bow and began to play.

As the melodies of Venti's bow filled the air, an elemental power surged, instantly dissipating the barrier.

"Wow, it really opened! You do come in handy occasionally as a street performer," Lumine teased.

"From here on, we're officially entering the Wind Dragon Ruins," Jean cautioned.

"Please be careful, everyone," she added.

"Don't worry, Jean. The Traveler is very capable!" Paimon assured.

"Paimon..." Lumine looked at Paimon helplessly. Did she really have to be so boastful, even though she was indeed capable?

"Alright, let's go. Into the Wind Dragon Ruins," Lumine declared.

Finally, the group entered the Wind Dragon Ruins. They hadn't walked far when they saw the main entrance of the ruins.

"Is this the main entrance of the Wind Dragon Ruins? It's already enormous for us, but how did Dvalin, with its size, fit through here?" Lumine wondered.

"Paimon, is it possible that Dvalin doesn't need to walk? Maybe it can fly?" Lumine asked.

"Huh? Lumine, you make a good point," Paimon responded.

"Paimon, how can you be so clueless at a time like this?" Lumine retorted. "I'm the best guide in Teyvat!"

While Paimon wouldn't mind if someone else said that, she couldn't let Lumine get away with it. At the entrance, Paimon looked at the surrounding barriers, puzzled.

"It's blocked," Venti shrugged, imitating Paimon. "Yep, it's blocked."

"Hey, look over there. The roof seems to have a big hole in it," Paimon pointed at a corner of the Wind Dragon Ruins.

The others looked in the direction she was pointing and confirmed her observation.

"Indeed, it seems we can make use of the wind here and fly toward that big hole," Lumine suggested.

"Alright, let's take the detour and head up there," Jean agreed.

"Okay, let's take the detour and head up there," Paimon repeated.

"Okay, let's take the detour and head up there," Venti also repeated what Paimon say.

"Hey, street performer! Why are you copying me?!" Paimon realized something was off and glared at Venti.

Paimon found Venti annoying at that moment.

He's such a nuisance!

"Hehe," Venti chuckled.

The group arrived at the windfield, where an inactive Statue of The Seven stood.

"Oh, Lumine, there's another Statue of The Seven here. Activate it," Paimon suggested.

Upon hearing Paimon's words, Lumine extended her hand and approached the Statue of The Seven. In the next moment, a beam of light flashed, and Lumine activated the statue.

"So, this is the Traveler," Diluc observed, resting his chin on his hand and murmuring to himself.

"The statue has been activated, and the windfield has appeared. Let's fly up together. Everyone, be careful," Jean said.

With that, Jean took the lead and entered the windfield. Boosted by the windfield, she activated her Wind Glider and flew toward the broken hole in the Wind Dragon Ruins. Jean taking off, and Lumine and the others followed suit. Soon, they passed through the shattered hole and entered the interior of the Wind Dragon Ruins.

The group stood on a platform, and Venti surveyed the surroundings. He rubbed his chin and remarked, "Hmm? We can't go any further. There seem to be ancient seals within this ruin."

"Venti, is this Dvalin's doing?" Paimon asked, her hands behind her back, genuinely curious.

"No, this ruin was once an ancient city. Dvalin merely resided here temporarily," Venti explained.

"The ruins themselves are even older than the time of the Four Winds," he added.

"Mondstadt was a city without a ruler, but before its establishment, a tyrant ruled this land," Venti revealed.

"Well, if we have the opportunity, I'll play the story of that ruler for you. For now, our main focus is still helping Dvalin" Venti declared.

"If these seals are what archaeology calls 'luminous mechanisms,' we should activate them," Lumine suggested. "By the way, when we entered the Wind Dragon Ruins earlier, I saw three areas beneath it. Those should be the luminous mechanisms that Diluc mentioned."

Upon hearing Diluc's words, Paimon remembered.

"Paimon, I didn't expect you to be somewhat useful," Lumine commented.

"Hey, what's with that attitude? Paimon has always been reliable!" Paimon retorted.

"Alright, Traveler and Paimon, stop arguing," Jean intervened.

"Jean, we weren't arguing."

"If those three areas on the ground are indeed luminous mechanisms, let's go and activate them. Maybe that will open the seal and lead us to Dvalin" Jean suggested.

"Then let's go together," Lumine agreed.

"Jean, Traveler, let's go to one area together," Lumine proposed.

"I'll go to one area, and Diluc, you..."

"Venti, you go with Jean. I'll take care of the remaining area," Diluc decided.

"Should I help too?" Paimon asked.

Venti spread his hands and sighed, somewhat resigned. "Well, since everyone is busy, don't you want to help?"

Paimon was unhappy. She was going to help, but the street performer didn't want to? That was unacceptable.

"Alright, I was just kidding. Let's all go together. Once the seals are lifted, we'll meet here again," Venti conceded.

"Okay."

They left the area above the Wind Dragon Ruins and returned to the ground.

"Lumine, look. The area Diluc mentioned with the 'luminous mechanisms' has monsters guarding it," Paimon warned.

"They're protecting this place, likely to prevent anyone from activating the 'luminous mechanisms,'" Lumine deduced.

"Paimon, be careful. I'll take care of the monsters first," Lumine said as she rushed forward. Botamon, seeing Lumine's actions, quickly followed.

Together, they defeated the monsters.

"Botamon, you did a great job!" Lumine praised.

Although Botamon's strength was currently weak, it still proved helpful.

Hearing Lumine's compliment, Botamon was delighted and bounced around on the ground.

With the monsters defeated, they now had to find the items to activate the 'luminous mechanisms.'

After a while, Lumine found three items and brought them to the 'luminous mechanisms.' As the three objects flew into the slots of the mechanisms, the Wind Dragon Ruins underwent a transformation.
