"We're finally here!" Cassandra said, tapping Gill's shoulder, asking him to put her down. His arms must be so sore by now, she mused. 

The only times he rested were the few hours they set up camp, but he got her to use his arm as a headrest when they slept, so it must not have rested well even then. 

He shook his head and continued to head towards the tall gate. "No, you're pregnant," he said, looking as if it was non-negotiable.
