章 76: Chapter 75: Law's Army Vs Apocalypse's Army (2)
Apocalypse seeing that most of the mutants were being knocked out or being killed by the sentinels easily, begrudgingly decided to empower Magneto as well.
He then stared at Law "I have already given you the chance to join me in my cause. But your human brain was not able to comprehend the opportunity it presented you. It's time that I teach you a lesson, foolish boy."
Before Law could make a joke of it, Apocolypse flew towards him who created a ROOM and tried to shamble Apocolypse in front of another mutant's attack but to his surprise it did not work.
"That's a first." As soon as Law mumbled about the misfortune of his devil fruit powers not working, he was smashed by apocalypse fist which was covered in blue energy.
Law slammed into a steel beam as he groaned.
"Damn, that hurt," Law said as he shook the blow off and looked at Apocalypse giving him a thumbs up.
"Congratulations big guy. You are the first to hurt the death Surgeon. And I wish I could say you would be the last but I know the monsters hiding in the universe or rather the multiverse." Law acknowledged Apocalypse's strength as he then thought about why his devil fruit's power did not work on Apocalypse.
'Apocalypse should not know about my abilities or how they work so it is not something that he had actively done but was rather done unknowingly. Hmmm, The only thing that I could think of is that armor. Does not that armor use celestial energy? Does that mean my devil fruit powers don't work on them? Hmm, Ancient One's magic seems to somewhat block my powers but not completely but when she started using her time stone, My powers were completely blocked by it which also uses celestial energy or is it cosmic energy?' Law thought
'This is something I should research about. If Thanos somehow gets all the infinity stones, he could easily defeat me since I rely mostly on my devil fruit powers in my fight. Something I would have to change. I would have to start using more of haki in my fights along with my shinigami powers. While opo ope no mi makes it easier to defeat my enemies but these enemies are the weaker ones. These powers won't work on stronger enemies unless I awaken the fruit.' Law decided to focus on training more of his other powers after this fight.
Law was broken from his thoughts as a steel beam behind him wrapped around his limbs.
An empowered Magneto hurled massive steel beams towards a Law that he could not dodge. Magneto did not stop and continued to hurl steel beams towards Law again and again. He only stopped when there were no more steel beams left.
A sword slash cut through all the steel beams as Law walked through all the metal with Benehime in hand. The sword slash continued on its way and collided against Apocalypse armor's barrier but was unable to break through it.
Law could sense that Magneto had truly gotten a lot more powerful after Apocalypse had enhanced him. He had bridged the gap between a powerful mortal and had taken his first steps to a greater power.
"So he has finally become a fully-fledged Omega-ranked mutant. Such a shame, he would not be one for long." Law mumbled as he dusted his clothes from all the dust and then looked at Magneto.
He could imagine Magneto having a sneer on his face like he had managed to one-up Law and become an even more powerful mutant than Law himself. A more powerful Magneto if left alone would mean a disaster to the world.
The only thing that has kept Magneto in check was Charles and X-Men maintaining a constant check on him as well as Law's powerful stature.
Law was pretty sure that if Magneto was not being mind-controlled right now, he would still try to kill Law to get rid of any future problems. Not like Law could blame him, after all, he was doing the same by getting rid of the mutants and in turn any future problems that they would bring.
Magneto's eye wandered towards his sword as he tried to control Benehime with his magnetic powers and for a second even Law wondered whether it was possible or not. But he relaxed when he saw the sword still in his hand.
"I knew you only loved me, my dear," Law mumbled to which Law could practically hear a chuckle in his mind. He guessed that it was Benehime. Law was quite surprised since it was the first time that Benehime talked with him. He had already known the name of the sword and with the help of the template, he had already awakened his Shikai and thus did not need to speak with Benehime.
Law was pretty sure that this simple gesture by Benehime might have increased his progress of Urahara template by at least one percent.
'So a weapon with a spirit inside it can't get controlled by another person other than its wielder or is it because of something different? It is something to research about.'Law thought
"Since it's the first time that I have heard your voice Benehime, Let's honor this day by giving you worthy opponent ls to defeat and maybe even kill." Benehime hummed at that as Law activated its Shikai.
"Awaken Benehime"
