The morning sun cast a warm glow over the bustling training ground of the Ninja Academy in Konoha. Students, clad in their distinct training attire, filled the area, their voices mingling with the sound of sparring and training. Amongst them stood Tekku, observing the spar ongoing between two of his classmates.
A sparring match between two civilian boys, nothing special since all of them have only been a part of the academy for less than three months, and their fighting stances are still shaky and unstable. Once one of the boys landed outside of the ring, Funeno Sensei stopped their fight.
"Winner Daichi! Now form the seal of reconciliation," announced their teacher before he checked the list he held in his hands. As he announced, "Next is Tekku against Neji Hyuga."
'Again, huh? Sensei really likes to pit me against Neji just because we both are at the top of our class,' thought Tekku as he walked into the ring. During the last two months, Tekku dominated the class rankings in all knowledge-based classes with highly exceptional results, even the ones covering the basic knowledge for shinobi. In these kinds of classes, his results were even higher than Neji's, who was in the second spot. But this is nothing special for him since anything less and he would have been a failure with all the advantages he had in knowledge.
However, in their Taijutsu and Shurikenjutsu classes, he was still behind Neji, in the second place in the class. Neji simply had the advantage of years of additional training, an advanced taijutsu style with the Gentle Fist of the Hyuga Clan, and additionally, his genius talent. For Tekku to beat him so early in the academy during a spar would be simply impossible, even if he is working really hard.
First of all, he had to recover and retrain his body to a decent level. He followed a really hard training schedule right now. Dr. Gero, since the destruction of the Red Ribbon Army, gathered a lot of data and information on the different martial arts schools of the Dragon Ball World, especially the Kame School. He watched their training for any major crisis until the Cell saga. To build a strong foundation for his shinobi path, Tekku decided to incorporate multiple training methods from the gathered data.
Now he woke up at 4.30 a.m. and started his workout by delivering fresh milk in the village. That way, he not only had a good warm-up but also earned some money. After that, he practiced the different academy katas in order to master the basic academy style. At 9.00 a.m., he attended his academy lessons and followed the class schedule. In the afternoon, he headed into one of the woods of Konoha, took a swim, and trained there more. He also meditated to feel his chakra. He was able to feel that warm feeling in his stomach, but he couldn't move it yet, although it recently began to react slightly. After his first month when he completed the minimal requirement in the academy to own his own shuriken and kunai set, he also began to hunt some food there to save some money. The rest of the time and during breaks, he spent at home or in the first floor of the academy library, studying the six years of required academy knowledge.
Any information on chakra and the different applications for academy students were stored on the second floor and only available from the second year on when their chakra was unlocked. But still, with all this hard work over the last more than two months, his fights with Neji were very hard but useful to improve his taijutsu skills and combat experience.
Taking on the standard academy stance, standing in front of the Hyuga in his Gentle Fist opening stance, "So you again, but the outcome won't change. Fate has decreed that you will always be below me," announced Neji arrogantly as Tekku took a sigh.
'Fate my ass, you just had more time to train,' thought Tekku but remained quiet as he already knew that any discussion with the white-eyed boy had no point. His worldview would only change once he finally managed to kick his ass; no need to wait for Naruto to do it.
On the sidelines, the watchful teacher raised his hand, signaling the beginning of the duel. The air crackled with anticipation as Tekku and Neji stepped forward, the stage set for their spar.
There was no point in waiting; the ring was pretty small, and he had no chance to dodge for long. Since taking the offensive to overwhelm Neji early was the best strategy in this kind of fight, without hesitation, Tekku rushed at Neji with an offensive punch straight at him.
"Hmpf, pathetic. Such straightforward tactics won't help you in a taijutsu fight with a Hyuga," with his Gentle Fist, Neji directly targeted the Tenketsu on Tekku's incoming hand.
But that was exactly what Tekku was aiming for. This whole attack was a feint as he pulled his arm to the side, preventing his hand from being hit while kicking the arrogant Hyuga in his face.
Unfortunately, Neji was fast enough to react, barely dodging the incoming kick but still slightly getting hit on his chin. "Cheap tricks. Next time you won't be that lucky." Neji instantly went for the counter-offensive. No longer underestimating his opponent, whose improvement in the last months was astonishing. Both combatants began to exchange blows. Unfortunately, during such a direct one-on-one battle, if you weren't far superior to your Hyuga opponent, you would slowly lose, as every hit he landed would block a Tenketsu and make the fight harder and harder.
Realizing that he would lose if this kept going, Tekku decided to go for a quick bold move. Falling backward with a backflip, he directly tried to kick his opponent out of the ring. Unfortunately, once again, Neji was fast enough to react, this time dodging the move before directly attacking his opponent, now in an awkward position midair.
With one final hit of his Gentle Fist, he punched Tekku out of the ring. As Tekku landed on the ground, the teacher announced, "Neji wins! Form the seal of reconciliation."
Tekku stepped back into the ring, holding his hand out to Neji with two outstretched fingers. Neji grudgingly took the finger as he had to admit to himself that Tekku was a good opponent to fight against. Every time they fought, he would learn something new and raise his combat awareness. Tekku would always come up with a new strategy, trying to beat him, allowing both of them to gain a lot of combat experience. Compared to the rest of the class, he was far above them.
"Good fight," said Tekku with a grin as Neji only nodded before leaving the ring.

While the first floor of the Shinobi Academy only had limited to no information on how to use chakra, how to train and cultivate it, and similar, it had a lot of information on how the Shinobi world worked, how shinobi fought, how they used chakra, and similar. Giving Tekku a solid understanding of the different electives he could choose from.
He can't remember them in canon, but they must have also had them, since somewhere they must have learned techniques like sealing scrolls and similar. Probably after Itachi massacring the Uchiha Clan, they changed the rules for an early graduation. Most likely, they could only try it when they became eleven, since Naruto already tried to graduate two times in canon but was younger than Sasuke. So he had to do it when he became eight.
Since for an early graduation that he was aiming for, he had to complete four of the eight electives, and they would be of great importance for his future survival after his graduation, he had to select carefully. Although his meta knowledge already gave him a good idea of what they contained.
Ninjutsu was a must; it's an ability every shinobi needs to further understand. If you are a Genjutsu main type, you are either totally broken like Itachi or Shisui, or fodder for stronger enemies like Kurenai. But having a basic understanding, even without the Sharingan, doesn't hurt. Fuinjutsu is damn useful and can become totally broken. For many of his future ideas, it is an art Tekku must learn.
Advanced Taijutsu should also be helpful since Taijutsu is the main ability every shinobi relies on. Out of chakra? Taijutsu. Strong Ninjutsu opponent? Dodge and Taijutsu. Taijutsu is simply the most stamina-efficient of all the shinobi arts and can become god-level broken with the Hachimon Tonkou.
First Aid also sounded useful, but it may be not actual medical Ninjutsu but rather how to treat wounds and similar with bandages. During his stay in the hospital, he heard they also offered Medical Ninjutsu courses for Genin and higher ranks. So he could head there after graduation. With his understanding in bioengineering, studying medical Ninjutsu was a must.
