With the game gaining popularity across the world, Lucas Griffith a 19 year old American living in Asia finds interest in the game.

Reborn in the game as a summoner, one of the weakest classes in the game. Lucas finds that he was chosen as the next Onmyodo master, an extremely powerful Onmyoji with the Umbrella of monsters at his disposal.

Lucas is thrown in the world of life and death, where dying in the game results in dying in real life.

He fights to survive against other players, the monsters and the syndicate called the SHADOW SEARCH, the game developers and their motive behind the game.
