章 2: Chapter 1. The End Of The World
"May I check your passport please?"
The woman in front of me asked she's pretty beautiful for someone who works at the airport. I bet she's gon be really well in the model industry.
" Sir?"
"Ah sorry.... Here" I gave her the passport
I've been daydreaming quite often recently, and wonder why. If I keep this up I might just get killed without me realizing. Perhaps the cause of this is the 'Cleaning Job' that I've done yesterday. As I think of that, the scene of yesterday keeps coming in. I shook my head lightly trying to get rid of the thought.
'What the hell is wrong with me, is it guilty? I guess I need to get out of this job real quick, but that old man won't let me do that.
"Ck....how troublesome"
"Sorry?" the girl asked.
"Ah, nothing...."
" Here you're passport sir. Have a good flight"
I take my passport and walked away. As I gaze around my surrounding to make sure no one was following, my gaze fell to the breaking news on the big screen.
"Early in the morning, chaos breaks in the middle of the city of Atlanta. The police reported that the people in the city went insane, causing chaos in the middle of the city. The police and military have been trying hard to maintain the situation, but the scale has spread outside the city, causing chaos all over the place. Our reporter said that the characteristic of the people who cause chaos are mostly biting people like madmen, so we suggest to people who watching right now please stay at home."
I stood still thinking about the news.
" What the hell happened there, I need to call the old man to make sure".I reached out my phone in my pocket dialed the number and start to call.
" The number you calling is not answered...."
'ck what the hell is going on... He always answers the call so quickly
"Airwestern plane! "
'I need to get on the plane... Hope everything is alright
As I said that, I walked to the entrance of the plane. Found my seat and sit. A couple minutes later the plane started to fly. I look outside the beautiful sky makes me a little bit calm
' I hope everything is alright
.....
"To South Fulton sir"
I said to the taxi driver as I sit in the back seat. Unexpectedly he's giving me a 'really' look. I frowned and ask
" Something wrong?" I ask
" No sir but are you sure you want to go there? Have you heard the news? chaos is happening right there"
"Yes that's my home, I have to go there"
"hmm... I can drive you, but I can't drive you to the middle of the city" he said with a little bit of hesitation
"It's alright, that's enough"
"Okay sir"
The taxi started to go away from the airport

An hour passed, and I've been dropped in front of the candy store. As the news said, chaos is happening. I saw a lot of people running away with their bags, some people even seem to stealing a supply in the supermarket. The police are everywhere leading the people in certain directions.
" Just what the hell is going on"
I said that out loud a little bit shocked as I never expected that the chaos is gonna be this bad. I start to jog, going in the direction of my house. But a military man stop me grabbing my shoulder
"Sir you need to get out of this place right now!"
I'm about to answer him when a car at high speed approaches us. I reacted fast, rolling my body to the left side and avoiding the car, unfortunately, the military man got crushed by the car.
" Shit just what the fuck is going on," I said.
I start to run away to the street again, quietly sprinting because the situation is worst than thought. As I'm sprinting, I stopped suddenly when I see three men blocking the way. I see them with eyes red like a crazy guy with saliva drooling from their mouth. They look at me and start walking toward me like a hungry guy.
'What the hell are these people!'
They're about to reach my body but I avoid it by moving to left or right.
" Seriously guys, what the hell is wrong with you," I said to them but won't get any response since their only intention is to eat me. Getting annoyed by them, I start to move toward one guy at high speed that he couldn't react, I grab his wrist strike his jaw with my palm and kick his leg and slam him to the ground. Not like I expected, he get up and look at me with the same hungry look.
" What the fuck..."
I noticed that the number of these people start to increase little by little.
' This can't be done
I prepared myself to pass through them so that I can manage to be free. I started to rush at a high speed and bumped into some of them causing them to fall hard. I jump into each car that blocking the way and finally, I am able to free. I start to sprint toward my block.

When I reached my block, the situation was much worst. Some people are getting bitten by a crazy guy, there's a car crashed causing an explosion makes the situation much worst. But I don't care about them, my only attention is my house, as I see my house, the front door opened and I started to get a bad feeling.
" Shit old man"
I rushed inside my house and see nobody around
"Hey, old man..... Where are you"
I close the front door and start to yell calling the old man.
" OLD MAN WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU...."
I yelled again but ain't got no response. I start to walk slowly to the kitchen and finally, I see the figure whom I looking for. The old man with a big body and white hair.
"Hey old man just what the fuck is going on right now, what are those people, are they crazy?"
I ask him but still, he didn't answer
"Hey, you hear me?..." I approached him and grab his shoulder to turn him around but what I saw is horrible.
His face is still the one I know, but his eyes are red with saliva growling from his mouth. When he saw me he raised his hand trying to catch me.
"Shit" As I saw that, I moved to the right side real quick avoiding his hand
"What is wrong with you huh... Wake up!!" I shouted to him, but no response and start to chase me trying to eat me.
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU" I shouted again, grabbing his neck to hold him
I got no response, I grab his shirt kick his leg and slam him to the ground.
"Come on wake up man... This is not you"
He got up again and started to chase after me again, as I saw this. I took out my survival knife from my pocket and start to slice his leg and hand with high speed, avoiding vital points just enough to make him wake up.... I thought. But surprisingly, it mean nothing to him as he still approached me with the bleeding I made and still with a hungry look.
"What the fuck...."
A few minutes have passed as I keep avoiding him. I've been trying to hit him to the vital point, but still, it feels nothing to him. If it's a normal human even if he's brutally out of his mind he is still capable of feeling hurt, unless he's got a special disease or drunk. As I keep avoiding him, I am going silent. My mind ran at a high speed to find a way to solve this situation. But I have no time as I noticed outside my house, some crazy guy start to attract to the noise that we made. Finalizing my decision, I look into the old man's eyes for the last time.
"I am a sorry old man"
As I said that, I leaned forward and struck my knife deep into his heart. With this, he will surely die...
He falls down. Seeing that I closed my eyes, and some memory from my childhood come in. I remember the old man, although I hate him and he's never given me a sweet treatment since I was a child but still...
" But still you train me into what I am now, you train me to survive, you train me to defend myself... Thank you for everything Bastard" I said looking at his dead body.
I sigh once again and I start to walk away slowly. But something unexpected happens, a hand grabs my leg trying to pull me
"What the hell!" I got away from his hand and looked at the old man's body which is supposed to be dead. But the body started to get up again, giving me the hungry look again.
"No way.." I said in disbelief at what I saw
"You're supposed to be dead... How can you"I ask in confusion.
He is already close to me trying to grab me, I move to the right to avoid it. My mind cannot believe this, I start to think again of what happened.
'He supposed to be dead by now, I'm sure struck exactly to his heart so how come?'
A few seconds passed, and I made my decision again. I move slightly to the right and stab him right in his skull head. When I stabbed him in the skull, he was not moving and started to fall slowly to the ground. I stay alert for a few seconds, making sure he surely dies by now. No response for a minute, I lay down on the chair, closed my eyes, and took a deep breath.
All of this happened so suddenly and hit me quite hard. Although I got mental training from the old man still, it's quite hard to maintain at some point.
Opening my eyes and breathed out the final deep breath to calm me down.
I want to think more about everything that happened, but the crazy people outside start to gather more around my house. I need to find a weapon. As I think that, I rushed to the secret basement of the old man. I turn on the light and I see a bunch of guns, knives, and grenades. I pick up a silver handgun, pair it with a silencer. I also take the M4, i take the survival knife, and some grenades just in case. I take a bullet as much as possible, but I only take 2 guns on me so that I can move more freely, and also considering the movement of the Crazy people, they are relatively slow. So using my knife only to deal with a few of them is enough.
I also take some supplies enough to hold me for 2 weeks.
When everything was ready I went upstairs and looked at the sky outside, it was already dark. I start to move silently through the backdoor and when arrived in the street, the situation is much calmer, almost silent. There's still some light at some house, there are also a few crazy people around but they didn't notice me as I move silently.
Stoped for a second to think, it is just a matter of time until the government won't be able to maintain the situation considering how they maintain the chaos in the city this afternoon, and when the time comes. The world will not be the same.
Before that happens, I have to prepare myself for the end of the world.
