At random, the walls would light up with flickering ads, while the air, thick with the smell of mold and old oil, would be filled with the sounds of machines, creaking as if on their deathbed.
The tunnels themselves were long and twisted, their metal walls rusty and dirty. Every step they took echoed in them, due to how empty they were.
