In the elven village, the clone of Halard could be seen strolling easily. No one would suspect the clone was an impostor, because she possessed all of his memories and behaviors. "*whistle* Quite the village they have," she observed the distinctive architecture. "Wow, those mushroom houses are adorable."
In Halhard family's mansion, Yukari entered walking casually, but her face had pure distress written on it. When she entered the main hall, she was greeted by his family and council members. "Father, you are back. I was so worried about you!" his daughter Lia exclaimed. She jumped into Yukari, who regretfully hugged him.
Yukari embraced her tightly, feeling Lia's warmth against her cold skin. As she held Lia, she cried into his shirt, recounting how scared she had been when they felt the earthquakes. "This mortal dares touch me. You are lucky your daughter is beauty, old man," Yukari thought, feeling disgust at being hugged by someone other than her mother.
The clone tried to hide his disgust and kept up the act of being the real Halhard. She looked around the room, trying to remember the faces of his family members and their names. She smiled at them all. "I am back," she said, pretending to be relieved to be back home.
Looking towards the ground, Yukari clenched her fist and said, "We won, but the price was to high." Her eyes darkened with sorrow. "The girl was far stronger than we anticipated, we had to much sacrifices because she wanted to use the World Tree for evil purposes. We had no choice to stop at all cost."
"She killed half of our army in one attack and began to play with the rest," she said, her voice shaking with fear. "Our warriors and mages fought valiantly until the end, giving me the opportunity to attack with my strongest attack." Tears fell from his eyes. "I have failed them," she admitted.
"No, father, both the soldiers and you saved the world," Lia tried to cheer up her father. Everyone agreed with Lia when she said he was a hero. They were all aware of his self-sacrifice and bravery in the face of danger.
In that moment, Lia's father may have felt like a failure, but everyone else saw him as a savior. They were all grateful for his efforts and knew that they would not have been able to save their kingdom or the world without him.
"I will be in seclusion for five years to allow my injuries in my mana core to heal. I hope that no one finds out about my injury or the girl I fought. We do not need our enemies knocking on our door at the worst possible time because of our weakness," he said sternly.
"Are you sure you're all right, father?" Lia inquired. 'Bitch, please, can't you see I'm pretending to be sad?' Yukari thought. "Yes, Lia, I just need to meditate and clear my mind. After all, your father is one of the strongest men in the world." Lia said joyfully, "All right, father, come over if you're lonely."
Yukari's clone then left the village and began to travel far away. Far way where no one could see her she dispelled in a cloud of smoke. "*COUGH* What the fuck?" the real Yukari said this while choking. She was sat quietly, munching on the cake her mother had made. "Mhmm, this tastes so good," she said, savoring every bite.
Yukari couldn't help but enjoy the delicious cake her mother had made, savoring every bite. She pushed aside any negative thoughts and allowed herself to fully enjoy the moment. The taste was so good, she couldn't help but smile. Until memories flooded her mind.
"Hmph, stupid clone, I almost choked," she pouted. "Wait, the clone was me, so does that mean I'm stupid?" she mumbled to herself. She pretended to forget everything and ate her cake. She was lying on a bean bag her mother had made for her comfort when she began to recall the clone memories. "Let's see if anything significant happened."
Yukari began to comprehend the memories. Her eyes widen as she notices a valuable piece of information. "Interesting architecture," she stated. "Hmm, it appears his daughter is annoying, but everything went well," she said dully as she continued eating.
She got up from the bean bag and went to her room to sleep to relieve her boredom. She walked down the corridor, remembering how well her mother had designed her castle. She yawned and stretched her hands in the air. "Ahh, the price for strength is always boredom," she said wisely, nodding.
She threw her entire body weight onto the bed like a ragdoll and began cuddling her mother's body pillow. She began to sniff it, savoring her mother's scents. 'I'm a total pervert. But who cares,' she thought to herself as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Maybe I should start gathering gifts for my mother? But for now, she was content with her mother's comforting scent and the softness of the body pillow. She knew she would have sweet dreams tonight, and thinking of her mother's memory gave her a sense of purpose. Gathering gifts for her mother will give her something to relieve her boredom.
