As Halhard struggled to get back up, Yukari raised her foot and stomped down hard on his stomach. He let out a groan of pain as she pressed her weight down on him. He knew the faith of his people rested on him and the protection of the world tree.
Halhard started to channel his mana around his body. This was not the first time he had experienced such pain. Catching his breath, he was filled with new determination and ready to take action against the heretic who wants to harm the World Tree.
Skillfully and quickly, he infused mana into the earth beneath him. In response, a multitude of vines sprouted from the ground, resembling agile serpents as they slithered toward their intended target. The vines advanced towards Yukari, shooting up into the air with determined speed.
In a split second, one of the vines swiftly ensnared Yukari's foot, securing a firm hold on her. Within moments, a flurry of vines encircled and entangled her, their numbers multiplying rapidly. Despite her desperate struggle to break free, each movement she made only resulted in the vines constricting tighter around her body.
Halhard shot up from the ground quickly and made his way to his army. "Everyone, get ready to attack!" Halhard shouted. "We must protect the sacred tree at all costs. She is strong, but not invincible. We cannot let her destroy everything we've worked for." The group of warriors and mages cheered in unison filled with new vigor ready for battle.
The warriors swiftly closed in on Yukari, encircling her within the snaking vines to prevent any chance of escape. Their coordinated movements formed a protective barrier that shielded the mages from interference and focused their attention solely on the trapped opponent.
Hovering in the air, the mages began their incantations, their voices resonating with power. As they chanted, the atmosphere crackled with natural energy. Within moments, an intricate network of magic circles materialized, enveloping Yukari in a shimmering sphere of vibrant colors. Each hue represented a distinct element, creating a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning.
Within mere moments, the swirling torrent of diverse elements crashed against Yukari's form. In each instance of contact, the elements either merged harmoniously or repelled one another, generating an immense build-up of energy. Finally, the accumulated power erupted in a colossal explosion, engulfing the area in a dazzling display of light and force.
Amidst the chaos, Halhard, renowned as the strongest swordsman in the land, seized the opportunity that presented itself. Gripping his sword tightly, he channeled his mana, infusing the blade with a radiant aura. With a single fluid motion, he swung his sword towards Yukari, unleashing a concentrated burst of energy in the form of a luminous green arc. The arc surged forth with incredible speed, propelled by the force of Halhard's final attack.
As the arc hurtled towards its target, the ground quaked beneath them. Cracks spiderwebbed across the earth's surface, spreading like intricate webs until they converged upon the epicenter. With a deafening explosion, the ground shattered, creating a massive crater that swallowed the surrounding terrain.
As the smoke began to dissipate, the crater was empty as no sign of life was present. The army began to cheer for their victory, while Halhard had an uneasy feeling due to his years of experience. "The girl had high level space magic, she could of escaped easily" he thought until he heard a voice.
"My, my, what a splendid attack you did there. The manipulation of natural energy combined with the use of incantations is quite unique," the decrypted voice said with amusement and ridicule. They looked for the source of the voice and found Yukari floating in the sky with no damage.
"So this is what mother meant, where other worlds have unique power systems. While observing them, I notices they use calculations to manipulate natural energy in atmoshpere. That is so cool" she thought with radiant smile. "I have so much to learn."
Yukair began to clap and sneered, "*Clap* *Clap* You all fought bravely against my clone." Yukari's voice dripped with sarcasm as she mocked their efforts to defeat her. Her opponents were shocked, their fight was too real to be an illusion.
Yukari's laughter echoed across the battlefield as she reveled in their naivety. "I suppose you won't mind if I make the first move," she taunted. Concentrating her chakra, she formed a rasengan in her hand, infusing it with wind chakra. As she did so, an ear-piercing ringing reverberated through the air
Within Yukari's grasp, a pulsating purple orb adorned with swirling white blades took shape. She smiled as this was her first shinjustu she created with her mother, "WindStyle: Rasenshuriken." With effortless grace, she hurled the deadly weapon towards the heart of the opposing army. The rasenshuriken soared through the air with astonishing speed, radiating an overwhelming aura of power.
In response, the mages swiftly conjured multiple layers of mana shields, stacking them one upon another to safeguard the army. A multitude of shimmering green barriers materialized, forming a formidable defense.
However, their efforts were in vain as the rasenshuriken collided with the protective barrier, shattering it upon impact and triggering a devastating explosion. A blinding purple blast rippled outward in all directions, engulfing the entire army within its destructive embrace. The explosive force of Yukari's attack was unleashed, leaving chaos and destruction in its wake.
As the explosion resided, out of hundreds of soldiers, only close to fifty warriors combined with mages remained. They looked around at the destruction that surrounded them, the bodies of their fallen comrades lying motionless on the ground. The air was thick with the scent of blood and smoke, and the sound of their comrades distant screams echoed.
Yukari descended gracefully from the sky, her ethereal presence radiating power that surpassed the chaos of the battlefield. Her flowing dress and hair swayed in harmony with the surrounding elements, enhancing her divine aura. As the surviving warriors looked up at her in awe, she calmly surveyed the aftermath of the battle, her composure unwavering.
Summoning a majestic purple chakra sword that perfectly complemented her beauty, Yukari declared, "Ready or not, here I come!" Her laughter echoed through the air, filling the hearts of those who faced her with a mixture of fear and admiration. With swift agility, she dashed towards the warriors, who instinctively huddled around Halhard in a desperate attempt to protect their fallen leader.
Without a moment's hesitation, Yukari swung her sword in a wide arc, effortlessly cutting down the first warrior in her path. Her movements were a display of grace and precision as she swiftly moved through the battlefield, severing flesh and bone with each strike.
The remaining warriors valiantly attempted to fight back, but their efforts were futile against Yukari's unmatched skill and speed. Her chakra sword gleamed with a brilliant glow in the dim light, and with each precise swing, another opponent met their demise.
It was as if she was performing a mesmerizing dance, effortlessly delivering lethal blows with every stroke. One after another, they fell before her, their weapons rendered useless against her unparalleled mastery.
Halhard watched in fear as Yukari continued her onslaught, her laughter ringing out over the sounds of battle. When it was over, the only sound left was the silence. She turned to halhard and smile menacingly.
"You're next," she said, twirling her chakra sword. Halhard's heart raced as he took a step back, but he knew he couldn't run. He drew his own sword, preparing to defend himself. "Come on then," he said, steeling himself. He was a warrior, the former king of elves, and a father. He will win this fight, no matter the cost, and return to Lia.
Yukari thrust her sword forward, targeting Halhard's chest, but to her surprise, he effortlessly blocked the attack. It was evident that both of them were highly skilled swordsmen, their mastery on full display. The clash of their blades echoed through the battlefield as they engaged in a fierce duel, skillfully striking and parrying each other's attacks.
