In the shadows, Alistair who watched the scene wanted to rush forward, but he was instantly yanked back due to the chain around his neck. He couldn't free himself from the clutches of the chain unless Marius did it himself—his soul was helplessly bound to Marius since he died in the lunatics hands, but watching the horrible scene unfold, he couldn't just stay put and watch Marius hurt the people he cared about.

"HEY!! Let her go you fucking bastard!!" He spat, screaming at the top of his lungs in hopes that it would attract Marius's unwavering attention, and to his relief, it successfully did.

The demon's clawed hand seized mid-air, evidently startled by the unexpected voice, and he slowly turned his head to see Alistair standing at a corner, his neck bound to a thick chain, and that made Marius's eyes flicker with amusement.
