Draven, whose nose had twitched at her scent, blinked his scarlet eyes open. He took a moment before shifting his pupils to look at Avelina. And it also took yet another few seconds before he was even able to register what exactly was going on.

"W-why…?" That was the last thing he'd heard from Avelina before she staggered backward and turned around, rushing out of the room.

Draven's eyes gradually dilated, and he quickly let go of Amélie. He climbed down from the bed, grabbed his shirt from the chair, and left the room. Hurriedly, he opened the door and stepped inside to see Avelina seated at the edge of the bed, her hands tightly gripping her dress.
