Valentine smiled and gulped down a full glass of alcohol.

"I need to drink because I... I don't know how to say what I want to tell you."

"Why? Is it that bad?" Olive probed, curious.

Valentine gave a nod. "I think it is."

"Ah…I see. Well then, if you don't want to talk about it, don't push your—"

"I was sexually abused by a woman many years ago," Valentine said as fast as he could, immediately shutting Olive up. He took another glass of alcohol to digest it.

"W-WHAT!!" Olive was dumbstruck and speechless. He wasn't sure if he heard him right. "T-that is not true, right? You're joking, right?"

He was not willing or, more likely, able to believe it.
