"Nothing, we just did not expect you to be the groom Mr.Griffin" replied dad
I was not expecting my groom to be so defensive towards me which was cute, when we walked out of the church I could tell he was finally relieved. he led me into the car without talking at all and got busy with his pile of files. for some reason I didn't fear him, I didn't care how tall and muscular this guy is, I was just feeling comfortable which is unusual for someone like me who have no clue what sort of a person she is.
" So, we are going to stay quiet? " I uttered low enough to make it audible to myself.
" what do you want to talk about? " Maximus replied instantly as if he was desperately waiting for me to say something or anything at all.
" anything, we are husband and wife now " I replied, shocked a little.
"Is that so? " his eyebrows narrowed and my throat went dry, maybe I said something weird.
" then why my wife is not pleasing her husband to talk " he pulled me by my waist and my heart skipped a beat when I felt my mouth unable to say something at the same time I found myself diving deep into his beautiful eyes, his charms got my heart on a weird rush I could never explain. he was pathetically the most handsome man I could think of.
"I— " I hesitated
" you? " he asked while the grin on his face slowly started appearing
"I— " I hesitated, again.
" yes, you my darling " he leaned closer to me and I found myself at the loss for words. My cheeks said it all, they were redder than the color red itself.
"pfft— you are adorable " he chuckled, allowing me to let go and I blushed even more that I had to cover my face.
" It's unfair, you were teasing me," I said while my voice was breaking down
" yes I did and it was worth it," he said, with a soft smile.
" I am never going to talk to you, " I said crawling to the opposite corner of the huge car
" Is that so? that's a shame, so no more husband-wife talk? " he said grinning at me
" You! " I wanted to yell at him so badly but at the same time, I was blushing so badly.
" Yes, me" his grin just got wider
"You are so annoying! " I shouted
" looks like you will have to deal with the annoying me for a long time then " he replied.
This man was just impossible. But for some reason, his annoying self made it just better. I tried to stay quiet the entire journey but my eyes kept rolling towards him. He was..really handsome.

My eyes widened when I saw the huge mansion infront of me, my shock was pretty evident on my face. I knew he was rich, but I never expected him to be this rich.
"You will be the lady of this place now so you should contain your shock" he replied with the serious and firm tone he always had, well for as long as I knew him.
I nodded looking at him and didn't knew what to say or do any further its when I felt his huge arms scooping me into his arms and lifting me up as if I weighted nothing
"Hmm? You are pretty weak" he spoke
"Or maybe you are just strong" I replied as a slight blush spread across my face while my eyes looked away from him and my hands not daring to grip onto him for support.
"Well, true" he replied
He somewhat had satisfied smile before he walked towards the mansion carrying me, I looked around and saw the whole garden filled with flowers but a specific area to the west near the fountain where I saw nothing but dried grass but I didn't let my curiosity get the best out of me and stayed quiet until he gently placed me down at the front gate where I saw a middle aged man wearing a classic butler uniform and a lane of maids standing both ways, those women were well dressed and mannered. It didn't amuse me the amount of helping staff he needed for that huge mansion.
"Greetings, my lady" the butler spoke up politely
I suddenly snapped out of my admiration towards the interior of the mansion and I looked at the butler with slight embarrassment realising how I was just looking at the mansion like a hawk.
"Hello…" i greeted back
"I am Alfred carter,my lady." The butler politely replied
"I'm Eleanor Cecil, I—" I replied
"Griffin. Eleanor griffin" maximus cut me off before I could say anything further.
"Very well, my lady. Please don't allow me to bother you any further and have some rest." The butler replied as he gestured for them to go inside
I gulped and then nodded as I slowly stepped inside of the house and quietly followed my husband, maximus. Maximus seemed to notice me because he suddenly stopped and glanced at me
"Nervous?" He asked
I looked up at him and didn't think he would notice my hesitation. I simply nodded and suddenly I felt his palm patting my head
"You will get used to the new surroundings of this place, little one" he spoke with a soft tone
I felt butterflies inside my stomach while my cheeks were crimson red. He gently grabbed my palm and locked his fingers with mine, my hands looked like a child's against his
"You are pretty small. I can just toss you around ,you know?" He spoke noticing the size difference
"You don't mean that..do you?" I asked, a little scared.
"Who knows" he gave me a mischievous smile before leading me upstairs.
I was taken aback by his replied and suddenly I was scared again. I constantly looked around until we reached infront his bedroom and he stopped at the door and picked me up in his arms again and began walking in. He gently made me sit on the bed proceeded to untie his tie.
