章 53: VS UA Teacher Part 1.
[Third Person POV]
The plane trip towards I-Island was going smooth and Kaito decided to have a nap, he was reminiscing about his "special" test after the school closed.
[Flashback]
"Special test?" Kaia asked.
"Yeah, since I don't have a quirk, they decided to make an extra test for me to do." Kaito.
"I feel a bit wronged about that, if you pass the first one, why do you need another one?" Kaia.
"Mom, I'm a quirkless person, they need to make sure I can handle myself before something bad happens, if happens." Kaito.
"Fine, but after this I'll be sure to complain even a little bit." Kaia.
"Come one, mom. Take it easy, play with Jinsei or the doggy to relax yourself." Kaito.
"Fine, when will it be?" Kaia.
"Saturday, from 7 am to 9 am." Kaito.
"Alright, notify me of anything if you need anything." Kaia.
"Ok." Kaito.
The interaction ended with Kaito eating dinner with his family. Kaito dedicated to just relax a bit until Saturday.
[UA-Practical Exam Area-Central Plaza.]
Kaito was in his hero costume and was finishing looking through Nezuko, to make sure that he has everything to win the exam.
'Extra masks, some antidotes, flashbangs, yep this'll help me even the playground.' Kaito thought.
He then looked towards the testing area and saw the teachers of class 1-A walking towards him, including the principal Nezu.
"Good morning, Kobayashi-kun." Nezu.
"Just call me Kaito, Principal. So, what's today's schedule?" Kaito.
"Well, you'll have the objective to either cuff one teacher or leave the area, you will begin in the middle and choose one of the five possible paths towards an exit. A teacher will be guarding said exit but beware, once you engage in combat against a teacher, the other four will move towards your location." Nezu.
"Ok." Kaito.
"Now, since this is a test to test your limits, it will not affect your actual test score." Nezu.
"Ok. Anything else?" Kaito.
"You can battle with everything inside Nezuko but keep in check any lethal moves, we can't allow mortal wounds that would force a teacher out of commission. That would be all for your instructions." Nezu.
As the principal spoke those words, the teachers began to walk towards the arena.
"Weren't there supposed to be only 5 teachers?" Kaito.
"There are, no fun telling you which ones will they be, right?" Nezu.
"True, I've already ruled you out though, since the teachers are required to be inside the area, you can provide support via intercoms, am I right?" Kaito.
"You make it sound as if I'm that easy to read." Nezu.
"It's a gift." Kaito.
"Kaito-kun. Remember to show us you best, we need to know much you can handle on your own." Nezu.
"Principal?" Kaito.
"Your case is extremely rare in UA, if not the whole world, you've risen above every expectation we've had about you and I respect you for that, but right now, it's time to test how long you can reach relying solely in your own capabilities. Do not feel disappointed if you don't manage to win. After all, the UA teachers always hold back against our students." Nezu.
Kaito looked back at the arena and felt it, he felt a sense of pressure coming from the different sides.
"On a side-note, they were forced to wear the weights just like the last time, good luck now, Kaito-kun." Nezu.
"Just call me Kaito, and thanks." Kaito.
He eventually entered and went towards the center part of the area, waited for a few minutes and took a path.
Kaito walked towards one of the paths and saw Eraser Head standing in front of the exit.
"Took you long enough." Eraser.
"I was just betting with myself on which teacher I would find first, in that matter, does that mean that I won or that I lost?" Kaito.
Aizawa simply rushed towards Kaito with daggers in hand and prepared an attack at his chest.
"It means that you're too carefree." Eraser.
*CLANK*
Aizawa's daggers were stopped by two saw-like swords.
"Wrong~ I'm never carefree, but enemies do like to fall for said shenanigan." Kaito.
They both pushed each other and take some distance, Kaito begins the offensive but Eraser counters by throwing gas pellets. The pellets explode and release a gas, Kaito swiftly grabs Nezuko and puts one of his masks on, to prevent him from breathing the gas.
'Beast Breathing Seventh Form: Spatial Awareness!' Kaito.
Kaito closed his eyes and felt the different air currents and vibrations in the air, he managed to pinpoint Eraser's location and lunges to attack him. Eraser was received with a vertical slash towards his shoulder but he managed to redirect the attack with his daggers.
Eraser takes a leap back but Kaito continued the assault with the Second Fang: Slice. The double horizontal slash was once again stopped by Eraser's daggers but Kaito changed the strength input on his left sword, causing a bit of unbalance that allowed Kaito to overpower Eraser and make him drop one of his daggers.
Kaito delivers a kick to Eraser's chest and pushes him back, Eraser looks at Kaito with an analytic look and then he looks at his daggers.
'The damage done to my daggers is substantial, each slash could've break them but, he managed to control his strength, I'm physical oriented when fighting, I would use my quirk to erase other's quirks and use their inability to overpower them, however, this situation is the complete opposite.' Eraser head.
He looked at Kaito and saw him with his eyes closed while facing him.
'Kobayashi's been able to reach this inhuman level of strength solely on his training and breathing techniques, although he has refused to teach them to anyone, it is clear that those breathing techniques have elevated him to another level, my quirk is null and my tactics are predictable, my best chance is to wait for any teacher to be the main attacker and I'll be the support.' Eraser.
'That is, if I don't want to injure him badly.' Aizawa lets a sadistic smirk.
Meanwhile, Kaito was thinking about something else. He's been using the seventh form of the Beast Breathing to identify the other teachers in the area.
'The area is a pentagon, regardless of the sides I chose, the other teachers will appear time-based on their position. I'm facing Aizawa-sensei, if I take his position like the top of the pentagon, the left side is Present-Mic-sensei, right is Midnight-sensei, lower left is Snipe-sensei and lower right is Cementoss-sensei.' Kaito.
'Adding the Principal's help, the battle is bound to become harder the more teachers arrive, but even if that happens, I don't think I could defeat Aizawa-sensei that easily.' Kaito.
He opens his eyes and looks at Eraser and his sadistic smirk.
'Yep, he's going to take things more seriously, based on their current pace, they should arrive in the aforementioned order, I better hustle up.' Kaito.
Kaito dashed towards Eraser and delivered a Third Fang: Devour to his waist. Eraser timed his jump and kicked Kaito in the face, pushing him to the ground, Kaito got up but a dagger was thrown at him.
Kaito easily dodged but then felt a sharp pain in his left leg. He looked and saw another dagger, different from the other ones, stabbed in his leg.
Eraser simply predicted Kaito's actions and answered with a counterattack, years of experience widened the gap between them and have given him a chance.
Eraser prepared to attack once again and rushed Kaito, the latter stabbed the ground and clapped, Nezuko manifested itself and Kaito drew a sword from within.
'Flame Breathing Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation.' Kaito.
With multiple circular slashes, Kaito defended himself against Eraser's rush. Kaito took some distance to prepare his next move but felt his leg going numb. It was poison, paralyzing poison prepared in advance.
"Inside the dagger, huh?" Kaito.
"You're not the only one with some hidden gimmicks." Eraser.
"Yeah, but I am the one with better ones." Kaito.
He pressed his mask and opened his mouth; the mask took a saliva sample and analyzed it.
Eraser immediately rushed forward but Kaito could still move, he delivered a First Form: Unknowing Fire and pushed Eraser away.
"The poison…" Eraser.
"Oh, it worked all right, I'm simply capable of pushing through it, speaking of it." Kaito.
A small paper was printed out from the mask and Kaito saw the paper, the then clapped and Nezuko appeared, he took a vial from within and drank it.
"Good poison, not the best to wear me down but it was certainly a surprise." Kaito.
"Analyzed so soon?" Eraser.
"What can I say? Mei does have preferences when I'm the one drawing the sketches." Kaito.
Kaito continued his assault with the Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun, Eraser reacted and moved backwards but Kaito threw the dagger back at him, stabbing him in his left leg.
"Payback!" Kaito.
He then grabbed Eraser's leg and threw him up, he prepared himself for another attack but was interrupted.
"Man, Aizawa, you clearly shouldn't do this kind of stuff without me~"
Kaito was drawn to the voice and hastened his attack but it was pointless.
"OH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The deafening screech was aimed at Kaito, who couldn't defend himself at the sound-based attack and lost his sword and his balance mid-air.
Eraser, however, was already expecting Present-Mic's attack and had already worn the ear plugs to resist the attack, he then dove towards Kaito and pressed him against the ground, preventing him from escaping.
"Good timing." Eraser.
"Always Shota! It seemed that he had you in the ropes." Present-Mic.
"Don't be so sure, I was about to counter his attack." Eraser.
"Mid-air? With just two daggers left? I don't think so." Present-Mic.
"I still have my scarf. Now, shut up and cuff him." Eraser.
*SSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
The two teachers focused their attention and Kaito and Eraser focused on restraining his arms and chest, he was about order Mic to help him but felt pain in the back of his head.
Kaito had dislocated his leg bones and delivered a calculated kick to Eraser's blackhead.
'Love Breathing Martial Arts: Anniversary Gift.' Kaito cringed at the name he didn't think that well.
'I really, REALLY, need someone to help me with names for my techniques.' Kaito thought.
He then saw Present-Mic trying to yell but he immediately throat-chopped him. Now gaging from the attack, Present-Mic received a punch to the face from Kaito.
Before following up the combo, Eraser used his scarf to stop Kaito and slam him against the ground, too bad that Kaito was waiting for that and timed his slam with his arms.
Now being upside-down, he focused his strength in his upper body and spun like a breakdancer.
'Wind Breathing Martial Arts: Whirlwind!' Kaito.
He wrapped his waist in Eraser's scarf and pulled him closer, Eraser managed to struggle himself out of the scarf but that wasn't all that Kaito did.
Kaito began to spin at Eraser's direction like a top, suddenly, Eraser saw many stones being thrown at him by Kaito. Using one hand to break the floor while spinning, and using the other to throw the rocks with the added momentum and rotation.
It was like a nerfed version of a machinegun, the assault of stones couldn't be stopped by Eraser mid-air so, he had no choice but to block the attack with his forearms and legs.
The rock barrage continued until Eraser hit the ground and took his breath. The rocks weren't exactly sharp nor heavy but it was still painful to receive their hits. Kaito stopped spinning and stood himself up, only to notice that from the waist down his body was tied by the scarf.
By that time, Present-Mic was already back in action and Eraser confirmed that his injuries weren't that bad.
"Seems that you've cornered yourself." Present-Mic.
"Nah, two hands are more than enough. To break free I mean, not fighting you." Kaito.
Kaito clapped and Nezuko appeared, he immediately takes out another sword and cuts his way through. In the meantime, Eraser and Present-Mic were whispering to each other, too low that even Kaito couldn't hear them.
"Any plans, Shota?" Present-Mic.
"The open field fight wasn't effective; we need to drag him to the area I prepared beforehand." Eraser.
"I think I could blast him with another scream." Present-Mic.
"Not a bad idea, except that you could destroy my traps altogether." Eraser.
"How long do you think it'll take for the rest to arrive?" Present-Mic.
"Given the time since this has started, I'd say 5, 8 and 12 minutes respectively." Eraser.
"The, we better keep things busy while we wait." Present-Mic.
"He's probably already figured that out, in case all five of us arrive, he'll either attempt a final stand or simply escape." Eraser.
"HEY! I FINISHED DE-WRAPPING MYSELF; CAN I ATTACK NOW?" Kaito.
"Sure enough, he's not taking things seriously." Present-Mic.
"It's our job to force him then (Eraser taps his earpiece.) What do you thing, Principal?" Eraser.
In a surveillance room, Nezu calmly sips his tea and takes a bite out of a piece of cheese.
"Everything's going according to plan, minor some small details, just keep pressuring him into the next section before Nemuri-san arrives." Nezu.
"Understood." Both teachers nodded.
Meanwhile, Kaito took out Obanai from Nezuko and stored the other Katanas.
"Well, time to perfect my Serpent Breathing." Kaito said as he took a stance.
The fight against the teachers had just begun and a hint of excitement filled his heart.

Wexof was overseeing Kaito's battle and sighed with a saddened expression.
"How can I tell him? It's a complete negligence from my part!" Wexof fumed in anger.
He's been overseeing the specific MHA world since Kaito arrived and after reincarnating the kid, he realized his mistake.
"That kid, will never truly master the Sun…" Wexof sighed in defeat.
