Furthermore, I earnestly can't even think of any vital thing that Valerie wants to tell me and the sudden seriousness on her face is enough for me to know that whatever it is, it is crucial.
"Please go ahead." I urged her, and she shut her eyes for a while and took a deep breath.
She then sat up on the couch and turned to me and cleared her throat, "Christine, since I came to your house…" Her sentence was forced to stop midway by the sudden appearance of Jade.
"What is the matter?" I inquired from her, as I don't in any way like the fact that she has to stop Valerie from saying what she said is really vital.
"I'm sorry to interrupt the both of you, but I have to. A man was given entrance into the house by the security men. He is by name Mr. Hector." She reported, and it was as if someone invisible spewed cold water all over my body, and I couldn't seem to shift my gaze from Jade.
