"Who's on the call?" Azura asked as she walked in the King's cabin, without knocking as always and Nathaniel quickly ended the call, afraid Azura would hear Elliana's words too.
"It was just a subordinate reporting me about the witch's activities in the Southern Hills," Nathaniel shrugged and Azura hummed before she plopped on the couch in front of him.
Her face had an ashen expression. It was clear she was sad about something and Nathaniel knew all too well what it was all about, thus, he didn't even bother to ask her what it was all about.
Seeing her stepson walking back to the chair rather than asking her what was wrong, just like his dad, Azura scowled and huffed loudly.
Nathaniel's lips twitched slightly before he pretended to be lost in his work.
Azura finally grew impatient and stood from her place.
"Are you guys for real?" She asked, and Nathaniel smiled.
