Bastian raised his sword immediately and struck Gorgo, but the other captain blocked the blow. Still, Gorgo did not strike him back.

Why?

Bastian pulled back towards the shoreline, and Gorgo followed him, but the bearded captain did not try to hit him or cut him.

In a way, that was worse than having to dodge a sword. It was humiliating. Disheartening.

"You think I don't have any idea about your plans," Gorgo said with a mad grin. "You've always wanted to steal my thunder. You've always been like that. Can't stand not being the center of attention."

Bastian had already managed to put distance between himself and his hatred for his brother, and that made Gorgo's words sound even more ridiculous.

Gorgo was projecting so hard that he would soon fly to the moon with those reaches.

"You can keep your shitty thunder, but you don't -"
