"I thought your underling threw you under the bus," she mused. "But I guess he still has some sort of loyalty until the end."

"Oh, no, Miss Liu!" Primo mused back. "He did try to sell me out, but I'm smart. You got to admit that."

"Pray tell. I'm intrigued."

Primo grinned. "Elmo never rushed me, Miss Liu. He knows I love taking my precious time."

"Oh?"

"That's why I know there's something wrong," He summarized, keeping it short and precise. "That is why even when I already let Old Madam Zhu go, I have to take her back with me. For safety purposes. I don't want to end just like that damn traitor."
