Axel hissed at the impact, wincing as he was still healing from the beating a week ago. Thus, the impact hurt him more than it should've done. However, Axel swallowed down the pain he felt as he shifted gears, picking up his speed so those guys would stop bumping into their car.
"Damn it!" he ground his teeth, stepping on the pedal harder.
His eyes were glinting, and his heart was skipping beats, making him pant for air. Axel knew what would happen if they stopped, and he wouldn't let that happen. However, the car he was driving was not something he would usually drive.
The engine was good because he did a last check, but it wasn't good enough. The thing was, street racing wasn't just about the speed. Its driver needs to drive the car they were attached to like they were an extended part of themselves. This was the first time Axel was driving this car, and he was still adjusting.
It wasn't as easy as one would think it was.
