With this determined resolution, Kratos promptly materialized in front of Gradungr. Upon hearing Kratos's words, Gradungr nodded, albeit a shadow of melancholy lingering within. The realization that Kratos might be facing his ultimate battle, with the outcome uncertain, cast a somber note on their quest.
In the ensuing moments, Kratos vaulted into the air, navigating through the ranks of Sunagakure ninjas with deft precision. Only when confronted by adversaries impossible to bypass did Kratos choose to engage in combat. However, Kratos demonstrated an unmatched efficiency, promptly concluding each skirmish with either a single, sweeping motion of his axe or a forceful punch, dispatching opponents in an instant.
As their journey unfolded, Kratos and Gradungr reached the site where the trapped members of the Senju Clan awaited rescue. Positioned at a higher vantage point, the Senju Clan had managed to endure, yet their continued survival wasn't solely attributed to their strategic location. While Sunagakure ninjas possessed the capability to eliminate the trapped Senju Clan members at will, their survival was intentionally preserved. Chiyo and Ebizo had opted to employ them as bait, intending to entice someone significant from Konoha.
In this crucial juncture, the gravity of the impending confrontation weighed heavily on Kratos's shoulders. Nevertheless, resolute and unwavering, he pressed on, fully aware that the imminent clash held the potential to alter the course of their fate.

"Master Kaede, is that truly Lord Kratos approaching us? There's a possibility that this person is a Sunagakure ninja assuming Lord Kratos's appearance to deceive us and launch a surprise attack," expressed one of the Senju Clan ninjas, voicing a note of caution.
Senju Kaede, however, shook his head, dismissing the suspicion. "If Sunagakure intended to eliminate us, they could have done so long ago. There's no logic in waiting this long. Most likely, Konoha has abandoned us, and that's precisely why Lord Kratos is here in person. Look behind him, and you'll understand why this is the genuine Lord Kratos."
Following Senju Kaede's guidance, the ninja shifted their attention to what lay behind Kratos. There, a panther-like beast with a gleaming sky-blue horn came into view. "That's Gradungr," the ninja immediately recognized the distinctive creature, confirming the authenticity of Lord Kratos's presence.
"If Lord Kratos's companion beast is present, there's no doubt the approaching person is Lord Kratos," affirmed the ninja. This conviction was not limited to one individual; other members of the Senju Clan were equally convinced that the approaching figure was none other than Kratos.
Soon, Kratos stood before the modest camp erected by the Senju Clan. Senju Kaede took the initiative and expressed, "Lord Kratos, thank you for coming to our rescue."
"Hmm. No need for thanks. I am merely fulfilling the promise I made to Mr. Tobirama," responded Kratos. Following this statement, he scrutinized the remaining members of the Senju Clan. Their number stood at a mere thirty, and each one appeared visibly exhausted. These individuals had been forced to maintain constant vigilance to safeguard themselves against Sunagakure's threats, all while harboring the aspiration to return home to Konoha. However, a peculiar observation caught Kratos's attention: among these surviving Senju members, not a single one of his 'Death Soldiers' was present.
The absence of his formidable 'Death Soldiers' among the Senju survivors added a layer of mystery to the situation. Kratos pondered the implications, considering the possible reasons behind their absence in this critical juncture. As he continued to assess the weary but resilient faces of the Senju Clan members, a solemn determination filled his gaze. The promise to Tobirama weighed heavily on his shoulders, and Kratos understood the gravity of the task at hand.
