Calming herself by taking a deep breath, she went back to the door and opened it. She was expecting the image she had conjured to have left, but Declan was still at the door with a raised brow.
"Why do you look like you have seen a ghost?"
She blinked and forced a chuckle at the embarrassment. "Hello, Declan," she added awkwardly.
Declan shook his head and moved into the room. He looked around at the dark room painted navy blue; the lights were off and every source of light was off. It was hard to see what was in the room. "Why are you staying in the dark?" he moved towards the switch and turned on the light.
Mia covered her eyes with her hand at the sudden brightness after staying in the dark room. "Nothing. I just feel comfortable."
He moved to the seat and made himself comfortable on the bed.
