Jack placed his hand across his chest, pretending to be hurt but he was only faking it, "you can try, no one is stopping you but I'm sure the paparazzi won't hesitate to know your undies, I wonder what the headline will be, he pursed his lips, Samantha Pierre, the daughter of Grace Pierre, jealous of the lady Jack Haden, the CEO of Haden International company brought as his date."

She busted out laughing, "You are delusional, she said over her laughter, how did jealousy enter the conversation? I only wished I could kick your butt not to get jealous over you beside Lily is quite capable to handle you."

You can never tell with reporters, they can twist things just to grab people's attention, he said as a matter of fact.

Samantha wiped away the tears that spilled from her eyes as a result of laughing, "they are crazy but you," she smiled, "you are delusional."

LILY POV

She was feeling thirsty and needed something to drink but when she saw the food fountain, her attention was captured by the sweet smell of food that filled the place.

Lily walked up to the food fountain, her mind was on one thing and that was good, she needed to eat.

At the sight of the food in front of her, her stomach grumbled in expectation. She took a plate from the stack of plates on the table, dished some baked rolls on her plate, and stuffed her mouth with it, The rolls were much more delicious than she expected. She took a glass of cocktail and sipped some.

A lady walked up to her as she was eating; Hi, the lady said.

Lily couldn't respond with the food still in her mouth, she nodded her head.

The lady waited when she saw that she had swallowed, "My name is Jodie Sharke."

Jodie was beautiful with white skin. Her hair was as red as the dress Lily wore for the event. Jodie was tall and had the curves of a supermodel, she was dressed from up to down in Gucci; her gown was Gucci, her shoes Gucci, her bag Gucci even her earrings were made by Gucci in collaboration with the Cartier jewelry line. She walked with a proud tilt to her shoulders.

More like a shark, Lily said in her mind, "My name is Lily Evans," she said but her mind wasn't interested in the conversation, she just wanted to eat in peace.

She was a beautiful lady and from the way she looked, Lily could tell she wasn't an ordinary person but right now, please leave me alone, Lily thought.

Jodie stretched out her hand and Lily also stretched out her hand and they shook hands.

"So who is your date for tonight?" Jodie asked slyly, she already knew the answer but decided to ask anyway.

Jack Haden, Lily answered. She wished Jodie or whoever she was would leave her alone.

Jack Haden, Jodie muttered under her breath. She looked at Lily from head to toe, disgusted that Jack dumped her to date Lily. The bitch is not up to my standard and yet Jack went ahead to date her, she thought bitterly.

She was green with jealousy and her countenance revealed her thoughts. She wished she could tear Lily apart and threaten her to never show herself to Jack again but she couldn't. After all, she was a celebrity and celebrities don't create scenes.
