章 1: A wish come true

'Sigh…'how long am I gonna stuck in here,I don't remember how long its been…a month,maybe a year or a decade? I don't know how long it's been but one thing is clear that I'm loosing my mind,these days I aways find myself entertaining thoughts that I normally would not,like somtimes I think I co-ahhhh...Where the fu*k did this blinding light come from...ahhh its burning my eyes even though I don't have them as I'm just a ball of light right now.'

After the blinding light fades two things comes in sight,A humanoid figure wearing a three piece suit that has a universe for a head and a basketball size blue light.
The humanoid figure kept staring at the blue light before waving his hand and teleporting both him and the soul to a different location.

After the GOD/ROB waved his hand I found myself sitting on a chair and before I can even process what's happening he started speaking.
GOD/ROB:"Mr Freemen I'm sorry to inform you that you have died because of our negligence and we are ready to compensate you by reincarnating you in a different world than yours." Offered the godly being but not sounding least bit sorry to me though.
GOD/ROB:"And I'm not a god,please call me MH,Mr Freemen" And Of course he can read my mind huh…but what does MH means? If I have to guess MH full form should be Management Head. And if I look carefully he does look like one,with his three piece suit,talking,mannerisms and this place also looks like a office room.
MH:"Let me briefly explain your situation
Mr Freemen,you died because of a spatial tear while returning home from work that was caused by my subordinate's mistake. I won't go in details as you are not qualified to know about our work but i will tell you that normally a soul or any mortal being ceases to exist when they come in contact with the void but you somehow not only survived the void but also absorbed it a little and got few perks from it,that I will later explain." Explained MH and my first thought is "Really with a eye roll "…well,it can't get cringier than this,as it already sounds like a WebNovel fan-fiction story to me.
MH:"As this never happened before we took the liberty of reading your memories to know what can be considered as an adequate compensation. You will get to rotate 2 roulette wheels,first one will decide your destination and the second one decides your power/talent/cheat." MH explained further and I have to correct myself it has gotten even cringier but what can I say I'm loving this sh*t more and more.
MH:"But before we begin,let me tell you what perks you've gotten from the void-
First,you have gotten the better version of essence of blank-
Second,Anti-mind reading and soul search-
Third,no one copy,steal,erase or clone neither you nor your powers-
Fourth,no one can look into your future nor they can see your past,they will only notice you when you stand right in-front of them-
Any questions?" MH inquired…and finally he let me speak,don't get me wrong I have been trying to speak from the start but some godly force was stopping me from opening my mouth but let's ask those questions first.
Freemen:"I have many questions but something's telling me not to annoy you,so my first question is,what do you meant by better blank essence?"I asked MH what's important as I have read too many Fanfics to ask any generic questions.
MH:"Essence of void as I would like to call it,not only it gives you limitless potential but it also links all your stats together "for better words" that means as long as you improve one stat all your other stats will improve with it,but it will be 10 times harder to improve that one stat." Explained MH and woaaah just wooaah that's some good sh*t right there but it also has its downside imagine what a normal human can accomplish in a year you will need 10 years to that thing but I have few more questions and let's focus on them first.
Freemen:"Can you explain which stats?" I asked him that because it can't be that simple other wise I can just grind till omnipotence.
MH: "Void essence connects soul,mind and body together so any stats connected to them will improve simultaneously but stats like luck,charm and other similar stats can't be increased with void connected stats,now lets begin the process."MH explained and summoned a giant roulette wheel with a wave of his hand.
MH: "Now Mr Freemen touch the wheel to spin the roulette wheel." said MH and I looked at the wheel and noticed many names written on it some I knew some I didn't,names like marvel,dc,dbz and many other but I didn't care much about which world I end up in. I'm fine with anything as long as I don't die too early I can manage in any habitable world even without any good powers/talent/cheat.I touched the wheel and it started to rotate at a speed I can't comprehend and after few minutes it stopped on-

MH: "Now proceed with the second wheel." Before I can even contemplate on my destination I was interrupted again by MH but I didn't get angry or anything as I know my position in front of this Nigh Omnipotent being.
Freemen: "Yes" I replied and touched the second wheel after some time it also stopped and shows

MH: "Now that's interesting" said MH with some amusement before waving his hand and summoning a box wrapped in a gift wrapping paper,now that's the first time I felt any emotion from him.
MH: "Open it to get your reward" said MH and I followed his instruction-the moment I touched the gift box a game interface like hologram popped right in front of my face

MH: "A custom gift box interesting…but anyway you type your custom race,item and perk's detail in the interface but remember if its too powerful or illogical the system will nerf those request automatically" MH warned me sternly as he can read my mind…ufff I blame those fanfics that made me remember all those OP wishes but let's get done with this as I don't wanna spend too much time with a being of such power.
Freemen: "Ok" I said and proceeded to write my wishes and as soon as I stopped typing all the words disappeared and change to a rotating hourglass symbol,after waiting for like a minute the results came and after the system nerfed my wishes,the results were
[ 1-Mutated Kryptonian:All kryptonian abilities without any of their weakness and can also absorb other energies like mana,cosmic and other such energies, can also combine them in their core without any side effects but the process will be extremely slow and they can only absorb a single type of energy before their core and body adapt to the newly absorbed energy
Note-1: This bloodline cannot be passed to your linage,only the normal kryptonian bloodline will be passed.
Note-2: It will take 25 years to completely form the Core and before the core is formed Mutated Kryptonian can only absorb sun's radiation.
2-Status screen:A status screen that will show all your stats,skills and other details.
3-A soul bound Growth type dimension:A small dimension with a mansion that has all the training equipment and will keep growing alongside with its user.This dimension has a gate that can connect with different planes of existence but it needs 50 years to absorb sufficient energy for that.]
Those were the results and honestly I don't feel any disappointment as even with my wishes getting nerfed it's still enough for me reach unimaginable heights.
MH:"Now that your destination and rewards are decided we can proceed with other things and finalise your reincarnation"MH said sounding a bit rushed and that forced me to finalised other things quickly as I'm also getting sick of this place.
MH:"Now you can either reincarnate as an orphan or in a random family,both of the options has its own pros and cons-
If you choose a random family then your looks should have been similar to your parents but because you are someone who has absorbed void essence your eye(purple)and hair(black) colour will remain unchanged even if your parents doesn't have them in their gene pool and even if I change them according to your future family their colour will return to their original after few years.
You will get more resource if you choose this option compared to the other one but your freedom will also be limited and if you are unlucky you might reincarnate in a dysfunctional family.
If you decide to choose being an orphan,your appearance,height,skin colour and many other things can be customised."MH explained,I already know what to choose as I don't want to have new parents and with my hair and eye colour, choosing a family will not be a wise choice to make as I don't think normal people has purple colour eyes but I want to confirm something first
Freemen:"Can I also change my little brother's size if I choose Orphan option?"I enquired with the best poker face I can muster not letting my true intentions leak.
MH:"…Yes…"replied MH with a blank look on his face but I can tell his eyes are judging me but you can't blame me as this is that one opportunity Eminem told to capture and I will capture it with my all…PLUS ULTRA!*ahem*we are getting off track but with my question answered I proceeded with my choice without any hesitation.
Freemen:"Then I will choose orphan option,please"I politely told him, completely ignoring my previous culture related question.
MH:"Ok, with all your important questions answered and all other procedures being completed,I can finally reincarnate you,I hope you have a happy and fulfilling life, good luck Mr Freemen."MH wished me luck and wave his hand and then every thing went dark.

~New York city (1919)~
Marry wasn't having a good day but as a caretaker in a military funded orphanage which is opened for the children who lost their parents in "World War" can usually be quite difficult job for a 31 years old widow. Her husband died while serving the country during "World War" and like many other widows, she was having problems with paying bills,so when her late husband's friend offered her a job in a military funded orphanage she accepted it without thinking twice and boy did she regretted that in few days.She didn't take the number of children coming to the orphanage and the number of staff needed to take care of them in her decision making and it was a fatal mistake,now not only she is overworked and sleep deprived she's also suffering from anger problems.
Today,like any other day Marry was doing chores when few caretakers enter with new children and asked her to fill their details in the Orphanage's register,Marry did what was asked from her without questioning anything, normally registering new children wasn't part of her job but she still do it sometimes as the lady whose job to do that is quite old and sometimes she sleeps during her work hours and Marry didn't want to disturb the old lady while she's resting.
As she was filling up the register,she caught a glimpse of a newborn who was looking at her, even though she knew that newborn can't see this early but she can't help but think otherwise, as those dark purple eyes kept staring at her with a glow of intelligence in them,the baby stared for few seconds before falling asleep seemingly tired from the journey. Marry doesn't know what to think of this but soon she ignored her thoughts and continued writing as it's getting late and she wants to go home and get some well deserved sleep, after reading the baby's file she didn't find anything new…his father died in the war,mother died after giving birth to him but not before giving him his name-Bryan Fury…which she liked quite a lot but she ignore those thoughts and started working.
After completing her work,she left the orphanage to returned home but not before giving the boy one last glance.
